2013 T&C wiring repair pt2. Its difficult to get a visually pleasing twist on the signal wires because of the stiffness of the repair, but they're soldered, heat shrink applied, sealed, and ready for some fresh heat shielding. Does anyone know why the two wires are twisted together?

2013 Chysler Town & Country with an extended crank and random misfires. Unable to "learn" the crank position sensor with various CKP sensor codes. Looking at the sensor signal on the oscilloscope, I noticed it was intermittent. Under the wiring tape, tubing, and heat shielding, it was discovered that the plastic insulation had turned to mush and was falling off, leaving bare wires. Wire repairs on the way.

Today's PSA: Most vehicles these days have cabin air filters. They're like the A/C filters in your house.Don't forget about them. S**t gets nasty.

I don't typically get much classic American muscle in the shop, but every now and then, a good customer needs a look under the hood.

The devil is in the details, and sometimes those details involve a factory specified particular .na model that was pretty difficult to find. Either use the wrong one, or wait a week for the right one. knows the struggle also

Thanks to Rick's Valve Jobs for the great machine job on this cylinder head.
This one had a badly corroded coolant outlet fitting. A threaded insert and bulky, but effective "T" assembly did the trick.

Yo, whoever lost their 10mm, it fell out of this Escalade. It's a little rusty, but it's aiight

New, good quality suspension components do no good if they never get any grease.
These were installed and never greased. Because of this, they wore out prematurely and had to be replaced again. Make sure whoever does your maintenance greases these at least every tire rotation.

Stuff I've seen in the shop recently:
2019 Chevy Express 2.8L Duramax with a broken timing belt. I don't think the engine is going to be ok.
If your vehicle is timing belt driven, don't let the maintenance get past due! If you're not sure, let me know, I'll check it for you.

It's been a while since I've re-sealed a power steering pump.
