Does anyone know what type of poinsettia this is? The petals are beautiful! 😍 I just happened to get lucky with the sun shining in at this beautiful angle when I snapped the pic.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas but here in South Texas it’ll probably be more like 90 degrees. It’s too hot for the typical winter blankets, but that doesn’t stop us from finding ways to make our bedding cozy and festive for the holidays. These red velvet euro shams add the perfect touch!

Our breakfast nook is one of my favorite spaces. A lace spiderweb table runner, coordinating pillow, pumpkin decoration, glass skull tea light holder, and some fall flowers is all it took to make this space fun and festive! 🕷🎃 We sat two reapers on our cereal dispensers for some scary finishing touches. 😉

Have you ever thought about raising backyard chickens?

We started our first flock (affectionately referred to as the “city chicks”) in 2017 with 7 chicks we picked out at Tractor Supply, and it was love at first sight! They are so much fun and have such unique personalities. Sadly 6 of our 7 original chickies (2nd pic) have since passed due to natural causes, and we just couldn’t bare to see our sweet hen, Digger, all alone in the backyard. ⠀

Although we will never forget our first flock, our hearts are a little fuller with the addition of 4 new chickie babies that we got on Tuesday from My Pet Chicken ⠀
