As we continue through this heat wave 🔥 we wanted to share a safety tip on the importance of maintaining your tire pressure at the correct level. 🛞

Excessive heat can cause your tire pressure to temporarily increase. For every 10 degrees of increased temperature, your tires can be expected to increase by 1-2 pounds of pressure.

Low tire pressure in combination with hot temperatures can contribute to a tire blowout.

Correct tire pressure should be listed on a sticker placed either on the vehicle's door jamb, doorpost, glove box door, or fuel door. 🛻

Since we are right in the midst of graduation season and entering Memorial Weekend we wanted to take a minute to remind you that we have had too many tragedies during this time of year that were so preventable. BE CAREFUL AT THE BEACHES, DON’T DRINK & DRIVE, MAKE GOOD CHOICES! And remember to hug your loved ones and make sure to be safe while celebrating!

Spring Break 2023

With Spring Break 2023 upon us, the Corpus Christi Police Department has a few reminders for our community and visitors to our wonderful city.

Be sure to pack some patience as traffic can be congested as you attempt to make your way to the beach. The Corpus Christi Police Department will have additional officers patrolling the beach along with additional traffic officers patrolling the roadways.

When you arrive on the beach here are some simple rules you must follow.

-No glass containers are allowed on the beach.
-Alcohol consumption is allowed so long as you are of age.
-The speed limit on the beach is 15 mph and all traffic laws apply including Driving While Intoxicated.
-You must purchase a parking permit to park on the beach.
-No dogs on the beach from Access Rd 3 to Zahn Road on the North side of the Packery Channel.
-No wood pallets can be used to build a fire and fire pits can only be 3'x3'x3'.

We hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable Spring Break 2023.
