Rita’s advice to future nursing students: There’s no such thing anymore as a “traditional student”. Every student is different, with different backgrounds and experiences. No matter what path you took to get here, you made it. That’s what matters. If this is your dream, don’t give up! Push through the hard times and lean on your support people! You can do it!

Your dedication to nursing is truly inspiring, and we’re excited to see you pursue your dream of working at the trauma stepdown unit at CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline. Here’s to all the amazing things ahead! 💙
Maria’s advice to future nursing students: There’s going to be times where you’re going to encounter difficult roads & it may seem impossible to reach your goal, but instead of thinking it as an “obstacle” take it as an opportunity to make you enter a stronger person. Always LISTEN to what the professors are saying, most of the times it’s on the exam if they repeat it multiple times or ask a question to the class!
Congratulations, Maria—you’ve got a bright future ahead! 💙🤙🏼
