We kicked off the Fall semester with a meaningful convocation, celebrating Biology Professor Bob Long, who received the Creighton Award for teaching excellence. During his remarks, Professor Long shared a powerful story: after suffering a heart attack, he realized that every medical professional who cared for him—from the EMT to the recovery nurses—were his former Del Mar College students.

This story highlights the lasting impact our faculty have on our students and the community. We’re proud to support educators who shape the next generation of professionals. Congratulations Professor Long!
