Friends of Brandis Park
It is now being impacted by surrounding development.
We're an informal organization for people interested in the protection and care of Brandis Park, a little-known city park in Corvallis OR
just north of the Garryanna/Rolling Green/Snowberry streets.
Imprecise but illustrative
The powerlines have been removed from the south portion of the Powerline Trail, as shown on the left. Looking north, as shown on the right, the powerlines from the north now divert southwestward at the powerpole shown, and follow the bare roadcut down to the new developments at the north extension of Kings Blvd.
This may portend the elimination of the south part of the Powerline Trail when homes are built.
Do the developers plan to leave *any* trails to connect the future residents of these homes to and through the attractive natural areas around them (assuming there will be any such areas left)?
The trails in and around the Timberhill Natural Area interconnect multiple parks, neighborhoods, and wildlife habitats. Check out OpenStreetMap(.org) for the most updated maps. Lets work together to preserve the interconnectivity of this beautiful area.
