Benco is hiring LPN’s and RN’s. If you are looking for less stress, one-on-one care and a great team to work with, look no further. Benco is a non-profit in Corvallis providing whole life services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a home setting.

Full-time set schedule available: Thursday-Sunday 2p-10p = 32 hours per week. (Swing shift)

Must have a valid Oregon LPN or RN license.
Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Starting wage range DOE: $35.00-37.04 Capped at $41.15 (LPN) and Starting wage range DOE: $42.00-44.46 Capped at $46.67 (RN)

Benco offers raises every 6 months for the first 2 years and annually thereafter if the employee has not reached the cap for that position.
Raises are: 3% 6-months, 5% 1-year, 3% 1.5-years, 5% 2-years and 6% thereafter until the cap is reached for that position.

With the heat outside rising, RH came up with a creative way to celebrate the 4th of July. The staff helped a person, whom we support, make a meal of their favorite foods. Thinking out of the box is part of what we do to ensure we don't just provide support, we help people thrive!

With the temperature rising outside, Benco is committed to keeping our staff and those we support safe.

Benco is proud to honor our staff in their commitment to professional development and excellence in their field. We currently have 25 participants in the DSP Certification Program, who have completed 2510.82 hours of accredited training related to giving support to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

Set Schedule:
Wednesday 2p-10p (Swing), Thursday – Saturday 10p-8a (awake graveyard) = 38 hours per week.
Wages and Raises:
Starting range-LPN-$35.00 to $37.04 hourly (capped at $41.15 per hour.)
Starting range-RN-$42.00 to $44.46 hourly (capped at $46.67 per hour.)

The Benco administration office will be closed on Monday, May 27th for Memorial Day. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 28th at 8AM

At Benco, we not only make a difference everyday, but we have fun and look good doing it. Vote for your favorite program's Star Wars Day pictures to determine who takes home the highly prized Golden Pineapple Award. Votes are due Thursday, May 9th by 4PM. The winning program will be announced May 10th. If you didn't get a chance to participate this month, don't worry, June 5th is Tiara or Crown Tuesday.

Benco is proud to honor an artist in residence. The Hallie Ford Museum in Salem hosted an evening with Living Studios and our local artists at the end of February. The museum purchased two pieces to put on display from this artist. (Pictured). The exhibition will be on display through April 20th. Cedar Kaplenk Benco’s Employee of the Year 2023

When it comes to job performance, promotion of health and safety, demonstrating a positive attitude, maintaining positive relationships, possessing leadership qualities, and dependability, Cedar Kaplenk, APC at Rolf Hansen rises to the top. Benco is proud to announce Cedar as Benco’s 2023 Employee of the Year.

Cedar has a way of being clear, supportive, responsive, and empowering. Throughout the 2023 year, he stepped up in ways that went well beyond expectations. Beyond his support to the residents of RHA, he learned quickly and took on many pieces of program management as a whole. Through consistent actions, Cedar has shown that he believes in the right for the people supported to experience life to the fullest - even if that looks messy, risky, or different, and even if that creates more challenges for him. He shows up during extremely hard times and makes things work that no one else could.

Cedar has been willing to sit in on any meeting, initiate conversations with legal representatives, and provide clear guidance and advocacy around important issues. His technical support and trip planning skills have not only been an asset to those supported at Rolf Hansen but have extended to the RHA team, family members, and outside agencies.

Cedar uses solution-oriented thinking and always takes the time to show that what is important to others is important to him. This has inspired everyone who works alongside Cedar and demonstrates his commitment to Benco’s values and motto of “Caring Without Limits.”

We are excited to honor Jodi Henderson as our PC of the year.

Jodi is thoughtful and creative in her resident supports. She models Benco’s values in her strong communication with other members of the resident’s team, including her work site and her family. Jodi’s positivity and command of the position shine through in so many circumstances. Even on the hardest days, you will see her smiling!

When you are in Jodi’s presence, you can tell that she genuinely cares about her job and that her desire to serve radiates from her. We are so lucky to have Jodi as a Benco leader and appreciate the impact she has made!

What a great turnout we had for Benco Gives Back!!! We are so greatfull for the caring & giving nature of our residents and staff!

Items were taken to Community Outreach, Inc. and it was such a wonderful experience! And knowing it’s going to benefit people who need it in our community is such a wonderful feeling!

Honeybrine Catering made an amazing meal at The Officer’s Club, which was decorated beautifully in “white and blue to celebrate you”

Sarah recognized each role in the management team, Laura presented Jodi Henderson with the Program Coordinator of the Year award, and all of the PCs stood up and recognized Laura as an amazing Residential Director and support for each one of them!

It was a truly heart warming event to lead us into the upcoming holiday!

Last week at Benco’s Winter Celebration we gathered at Highland Bowl in Corvallis and had a blast with residents, staff, and family!

There were gifts for residents as well as staff, food, bowling, and snowflake making!

We really enjoyed seeing everyone and hope everyone has a wonderful wintery holiday season!
