Tuesday, 7/30 @ 6pm.
Gather at Peffer Amphitheater at Bruce Starker Arts Park.
Bring a mat and some water, and class is $8.
You can expect squats, lunges, conditioning, core work, good music, and a some fun!

This past weekend was packed with Pound!!! Saturday morning we made some noise at Common Fields, and Sunday I pulled another double to be at Open Streets Corvallis and Timberhill Athletic Club.
Open Streets was a great time and so many new people got to experience this amazing Rockout. Workout..
The cherry on the cake, was my little rockstar got to be front and center with her mama- this was the first time she has watched me teach in a group setting! โก๏ธ๐๐ค

How about a little FAQ...
1. What is POUND?
Pound is a group exercise class that is cardio based and inspired by drumming. Using lightly weighted sticks and four different positions, you squat, lunge, and activate your core for an extremely effective and fun workout.
2. Is this something you came up with?
Pound has been around since 2011 and is actually an international fitness format. I became an instructor in 2018.
3. Where do you teach?
I teach twice a week at Timberhill Athletic Club and have special classes all throughout Corvallis, just like on Saturday 7/20 at Common Fields at 10am.
4. I haven't worked out in forever and am nervous about starting somehting new. Is Pound a good place to start?
YES! Pound is inclusive, modifiable, and quite a stress reliever. You show up as you are and do what you can. My goal is for you to feel that inner rockstar shine.

Why I POUND?
I found the Pound rockstar workout about 3 years ago and I can honestly say it was โLOVE at first sweat!โ I had never felt a workout that I connected with and enjoyed more than Pound. I was over 100 lbs heavier, unhealthy, and frustrated when I walked into my 1st class. I was afraid of all the things I wouldnโt be able to do but then the music came on, the beat took over, and I let my inner rockstar out. Pound has been a key component in my health journey and I want to share this workout with as many people as possible. You truly can pick-up a set of ripstix in my class, โGRAB THE BEAT AND LET EVERYTHING ELSE GO!โ
Pound fitness is for everyBODY; within the workout there is a huge range of motion. When i first started my stix didn't hit the ground because I couldn't do a full squat or lunge but my body and mind still benefited from the work I was doing at my own level. Music helps you push through each movement and before you know it, you have had a 50 minute cardio workout that hits arms, legs, core and more! Not to mention, Pound lets you HIT as hard and as LOUD as you want. This part of the workout it the BEST emotional release you can experience. Let POUND be part of your physical and emotional health journey.
