CASE STUDY: QR Codes For Voters!
We're always interested in taking Autonix for a spin, and for a recent idea we did just that.

▪️ THE WHY ▪️
1. We've seen interest on social media in shareable QR Codes to get more people voting.
2. It is a good test of the Autonix API for our team.
3. Autonix collects anonymous data about scans. We can see if this made an impact on getting people voting info.

▪️ THE HOW ▪️
1. Using Canva, we created 50 "Time To Vote" center images for each state. Surprisingly fast to do. (example)
2. Pulled list of all 50 voter websites from BallotPedia
3. Pushed data into our Autonix API which created Autonix "Trackers" and Exported Trackable QR Codes and Links
4. With some formatting placed results on the autonix.io website

Happy New Year! We're welcoming 2022 with the launch of a new feature. Our most requested feature last year was digging deeper into why visitors are actually visiting. Introducing "Visit Purpose", an easy way to ascertain the reason for a visit and ask any follow up question.

How does it work?
Like everything in Autonix, it's simple and robust! Customers can define an unlimited number of choices which will appear in a drop-down menu on the check-in screen. With each choice, you can ask a follow up question. As an example:
Delivery: Who is it for?
Construction: What are you here to fix?
Job Interview: Who are you here to see?

But its even more flexible than that. Smaller organizations can use it for a simple directory (with the first option "Who are you here to see")

Or, it can be used as a simple checkpoint by redirecting to a new URL based on answer... As an example, make two choices.
"I have not signed an NDA" -> redirect to NDA
"I have signed an NDA" -> no redirect

Getting back to work has long been a priority since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. The combination of vaccinations, mitigation strategies, and a well informed workforce have got us to the point of not when but how.

Having researched this topic extensively, there is not a singular answer. The answer lies somewhere in: do what is best for management, your workforce, while maintaining the requirements set forth by your governing bodies.

Contactless Check-in - eliminate shared screens by allowing visitors to check-in using their own devices. Capture information such as name, email, phone, company, ID and purpose of visit to record. Likewise, require visitors check-out on leaving to understand their time on site.

Contact Tracing - utilize our filters and searches to narrow down visitors and find people associated with a known exposure. Export the filtered list to create a notification list and limit notifications to only parties involved.

Prescreening - ask or state anything you want using our self-attestations, a simple pre/post screen which can be utilized to disseminate information and our require visitor assertion (check out an example here: https://autonix.io/how-it-works )

Visitor Throughput Monitoring - eliminate bottlenecks and gatherings of visitors by identifying check-ins per hour at various check points throughout your facilities. Utilize our aggregated statistics to find and fix trends which may lead toward concentrations (for example add staff or create new entry points if you find one hour is significantly busier than another)

Preregistration - using our color-coding system, allow visitors to self-checkin upon arrival with an "pending" status. Utilize staff members to further verify credentials such as vaccination records, questionnaires, NDAs or other requirements for entry.

New Feature Alert. Visit colorization! Now included in all plans, including the completely free Visitor Management essentials plan.

Visit colorization enables your company with the ability to establish a unique categorization system. This new feature expands on the check-in process, adding more ability to categorize and process visitors.

"Every Autonix customer has unique needs, so we implemented a visit status colorization system to allow their own internal customization. It's been well received, we had one pilot restaurant use it by categorizing people waiting for a table vs people who have been seated, and another customer in our pilot using it as a three step system for medical office check-in. They set the default status on check-in to red, after they had their temperature read the status was set to yellow, after their insurance was OK'd and copay was paid, the visitor would be set to green indicating to the back office team they're fully checked in."

The way it works is simple. Visitors are assigned a default status color. At any time, an Autonix admin can edit a customer, moving them from one color to another. Use color statuses to sort, filter, or process visitors with a system defined by you!

Autonix now offers pre and post screening for all contactless visitor check-ins. It's easy to setup on any location and completely customizable.

Screenings can be placed before or after you ask customers for their check-in information. Additionally, you can optionally require visitors to provide input (such as a digital signature) which is logged with their visit for future compliance.

In addition to COVID safety, screenings can be used for everything from NDA compliance, visitor communication, sharing the wifi/bathroom code, providing evacuation instructions, or something as fun as a daily inspirational quote to employees as they check-in. Basic markdown is supported including links. The flexibility is endless.
