We are happy to say that we have sold through our first production run of Hilo2 in almost record time! We are rushing to receive our next production run ASAP.
Everyone who has heard or owned an original Hilo knows how wonderfully accurate and transparent it sounds. If you are thinking about purchasing a Hilo2, and you are curious just how much of an improvement Hilo2 is over original Hilo, this chart will give you the answer. Take note especially of the -120dB THD+N on the Line Outs. This is quite an accomplishment, and is an actual, measured spec (not just the spec of the converter chip). Furthermore, at Lynx we publish our specs very conservatively. They are an “at least” number, which makes the -120dB even more remarkable.

Hi, all! Previously, with LT-DANTE, when there was a sample rate change needed, the change was performed in DANTE CONTROLLER software. It was easy to do and took almost no time to do, but some customers expressed a desire for LT-DANTE to change sample rates automatically. In other words, to follow sample rate changes in the DAW with no manual clock-changing needed, just as with USB, Thunderbolt and PCI Express.

Enter LynxDanteSR! Our new app runs on both Windows and Mac and is a tracking and updating application. The application finds all known DANTE devices and lists them. The user can then assign a Device Clock Leader for the DANTE devices. When the Device Clock Leader changes its sample rate, the application will send the sample rate change to an Aurora(n), Hilo2, or other Lynx Dante-enabled device(s) (This occurs whether the sample rate change is done within the LynxDanteSR application or within a DAW). LynxDanteSR will detect the change in the DAW (via Dante Virtual Soundcard), and send the change over the DANTE network to the other devices. Further, LynxDanteSR allows multiple Device Clock Leaders to control several Lynx Dante-enabled devices, all at different sample rates.

We’re sad to report we were burgled a couple of nights ago. The scrotes got away with a large number of high-end mics although they’ve left the power supplies so we don’t expect they’ll be of much use to either themselves or to anybody else who knows about these things!
