Hair tip: if you are doing a long beach or pool day, and you want some protection on your hair, give it a light coating of leave in conditioner, or deep conditioner and put it in a bun or braid. It will eventually rinse out, but it will give it a bit of protection. Bring more and reapply for more protection!

Growing through grief is a place where you can truly come as you are. If you have the thought “I don’t know if I can go there feeling or looking this way”, the answer is “YES you can”.

We very much understand how it is to be in the midst of deep grief. We also know how it is to be in the lighter stages. We honor and hold it all. All of it is welcome in the spaces we create.

We create containers where there is enough time and you don’t have to rush, you can speak or you can be silent, you can express whatever emotions come over you at any time. This truly is a come as you are space and we mean that from the deepest places of our hearts.

✨ 3 Top Summer Hair Tips ✨

Happy the Fourth of July weekend everyone!! I know you will be out in the sun! Here is my advice!!

- Put a light layer of conditioner or leave in conditioner in your hair and rock that look. This may be easier for curly girls. For extra protection, put your hair up in a bun with conditioner in it.

- Apply some kind of sunscreen to your scalp. This isn’t easy, but the less hair you have the better idea it is to do.

- Wear a hat.

The easiest thing to do is just wear a hat! Love you all! Have fun out there! 🙌🤍✨

How can I love on my hair? Part One 🫶

✨ Deep conditioning mask: a conditioning mask can be one of the most luxurious things you can do at home or in salon for your hair! Grab a hot towel, throw on some spa music, and relax for 15-20 minutes while your hair gets done extra moisture.

✨ Ritual Brushing: another one of my favs! This is great to do for 3-5 minutes before washing your hair. Gets the blood pumping and stimulates your scalp.

✨ Scalp Scrub: OMG if you haven’t tried this yet, you are missing out! The challenge is getting it on your scalp, not in your hair, but there is a way! The one I use leaves your scalp feeling tingly minty amazingness!

✨ What does your scalp want? ✨

Remember, your scalp is the foundation for which your hair grows. You want to keep a solid foundation.

- Stimulation: ritual brushing, massage, and scalp scrub are a few ways to stimulate the scalp. Stimulation increases metabolism and stimulates growth by increasing blood flow. It can also help remove product build up.

- Semi Regular Cleansing: when you shampoo your hair, you are also shampooing your scalp. You want to be using your fingertips to create friction on your scalp. Using the shampoo & fingertips to cleanse.

- Protection from the sun & elements: hair is a really good tool for this, that is a huge reason we have hair at all, to protect our head & brain. Using a hat when outside for long periods of time is a really good idea! They do also make scalp sunscreen, but I find a hat easier to use.

- Some Lovin: scalp scrub, massage, oil treatment. These things can feel really good and help with the health of your scalp. Treat yourself today! These are things you can get done in salon, or do for yourself at home! If you ever want DIY tips and tricks for budget friendly self pampering, let me know. I got you! 🙌🫶🙌

I’ll never forget what it felt like the first time I heard this training mentioned. It was still in its gestation process and I knew it was a f**k yes from moment one. I didn’t even know what I would be learning, but somehow my body knew I needed to know all of it. Boom, just like that … the seed was planted.

I waited patiently from October until April when I got to meet all of my cohort. One of the most important initiations of my life was taking place, I just wasn’t aware yet.

We met every other week, April through November. Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons were reserved for my Somatics training. I think I only missed two classes.

9 months. The same amount of time it takes to create life, to grow a baby inside your body. The amount of time for this course was not by mistake. We planted the seeds, we said yes over and over, we gestated, and we are rebirthing anew into these lives. We are new humans emerging. This rebirth feels good!

Dancing with my shadows. Getting close with the hard things in life. Welcoming all the parts of myself I had fragmented off over the last 25 years back into wholeness inside me feels good. Sitting with my broken little girl over and over again feels good. Creating my own ceremonies and alchemising with life feels good. Becoming more unapologetically me feels good.

I’m proud! I can’t wait to share this work with the world through all I do!

✨ What is Breathwork? ✨

Breathwork is a broad term that can mean a lot of different things. Basically, it is a term for various breathing techniques where the breath is used in a specific and controlled way to create a different feeling or gathering of energy in the body.

There are a couple main stream types of breath that you may have heard of that are trademarked and talked about often in the world of breath, these two are Wim Hof and Holotropic. These are each different rhythms or patterns of breath done in different, specific ways to create an experience in the body. Both of these types are very activating bringing energy to the body.

There are a lot more breathing types than just the two I mentioned above, but those two seem to be the most popular at this point in time. There are also beautiful, calming breath patterns you can do depending on your situation, and what you’re needing to bring into the moment and into the with your breath.

3 beautiful examples of a calming breath are long deep breathing, box breath, and nadi shodhana or alternate nostril breathing. Each of these can be used to help calm yourself, and help to bring your nervous system into a more parasympathetic state.

The short answer my loves is HELL FREAKING YES they do!

People talk smack on the pharmaceutical industry, people talk smack on the food industry, people talk smack on the clothing industry. Don’t think the beauty industry does not have its own major issues.

Unfortunately, every bottle in every store is made by a company that also is trying to make money. You need to be a self advocate. The worst mistake you can make is thinking what it says on the front of a bottle is actually the truth.

There is a ton of “green washing” these days and it makes me really sad to be completely honest.

Read your labels guys.

Don’t believe what they are trying to sell you. And if you want what they’re trying to sell you, awesome! We all have a different toxic load and we all have different goals. Just be sure you’re aware of what you’re using.
