Sunday fun day with my handsome hubby. Love soooo...💯❤️
This is one of my favorite dishes to make for lunch during the winter. It's full of protein and healthy fat, so it will provide long-lasting energy throughout the day. If you prepare your quinoa ahead of time (I keep a big batch handy in the fridge) it takes just five minutes to put together!
Warm Kale and Quinoa Salad
Serves 2
Ingredients
4 cups of kale, removed from stem and rinsed
2 tsp coconut oil
1 cup of cooked quinoa (see cooking directions below)
1 Tbs tahini
1 Tbs tamari (or soy sauce if not gluten-free)
Juice of half a lemon
1 avocado, sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: 1 tsp agave (some people like to add a tiny bit of sweetness)
Directions
To prepare the dressing, mix together tahini, tamari, lemon juice and agave (if using) in a small bowl or cup.
Heat coconut oil in a pan on the stove. Add kale and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes, until kale begins to wilt. Add quinoa and stir until warm.
Mix in dressing, then transfer to plates. Top with avocado, sprinkle with salt and pepper and enjoy!
HOT TIP! How to prepare delicious, fluffy quinoa
Rinse 1 cup of dry quinoa with a fine-mesh strainer. Heat a drop of coconut oil in saucepan. Add quinoa to saucepan and toast for a minute or two. (This adds a slightly nutty flavor.)
Add two cups of vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Simmer for 15 minutes with the lid on, then turn heat off and let quinoa sit covered for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve right away or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Introducing the healthiest, greenest smoothie you'll ever drink, filled with the super-est of superfoods: spirulina!
Spirulina is a blue-green, spiral-shaped algae (hence its name) that has been around since life appeared on earth. Coincidence? I think not!
The taste is strong, so one tablespoon will do the trick — a little goes a long way! With some turmeric and maca powder, it’s an energizing anti-inflammatory breakfast, too!
Side note: It can leave a bit of it's blue-green color in your mouth, so it's not advisable to eat this before a hot date. Unless your hot date is drinking the spirulina smoothie with you, in which case I think you've found a keeper.
Ingredients
1 frozen banana
1/3 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup unsweetened almond milk (I used vanilla)
2 handfuls of spinach (about 2 cups)
1 scoop vanilla plant based protein powder
1 Tbsp. spirulina (1 1/2 or 2 Tbsp. for the overachievers out there, though this will affect the taste!)
1 tsp. maca powder
1/2 tsp. turmeric
Directions
Night before: Peel and cuts bananas in thirds, then place in freezer the night before. Having a stash of frozen bananas in the freezer is a great way to make a smoothie ritual easier!
Colonics, also known as Colon Hydrotherapy or Colon Irrigation, removes waste from the colon without using drugs or laxatives. It hydrates the colon by infusing filtered water into the re**um through filtered water into the re**um through a sterile re**al disposable speculum. There are two separate lines in a closed system~ water in and waste out ~ to prevent any possible contamination. The f***l matter is soft and loosened, which allows the peristalsis action to act. The f***l matter naturally moves throughout the colon and is evacuated. This process is naturally repeated several times during the session.
Although colon hydrotherapy has received much attention lately, has been around for decades, and is beneficial for digestion and preventative health.

Why You Should Never Drink Cold Water
While a glass of ice water can sound incredibly refreshing, it turns out that there are a number of reasons why drinking cold water can be harmful and warm water is far more beneficial.
What cold water does to your body
Cold water can interfere with a number of healthy bodily processes and actually be detrimental to your well-being in the following ways:
* Cold water robs you of nutrients: The body’s natural temperature is 37 degrees Celcius. When you drink something that is very cold, your body has to spend an exorbitant amount of energy to regulate your core temperature. This takes away from energy that is needed to digest food and absorb nutrients.
* It may cause a sore throat: Extremely cold water may cause respiratory mucosa to build up, resulting in increased chance of infection causing a sore throat.
* It may decrease your heart rate: Studies demonstrate that ice stimulates the vagus nerve, causing your heart rate to slow down.
* Heads up, cold water may contain dirty ice: We recently reported that ice is often dirty, coated with bacteria and fungus. This often is true of your ice at home.
*
On the flipside, here are some of the amazing health benefits of drinking warm water:
Warm water provides pain relief
Drinking warm or hot water has a soothing effect on the muscles of the abdomen. It can provide relief from menstrual and abdominal cramping, as well as muscle spasms.
Boosts your weight loss
Instead of cold water, drink warm water to help boost your weight loss.
By drinking a cup of hot water first thing in the morning, you can jump-start your metabolism. Warm water increases body temperature and increases the rate at which your metabolism burns calories.
Prevents premature aging
Drinking warm water helps to flush compounds from the body that can accelerate aging. It also improves skin elasticity by aiding in cellular repair.
Clears nasal and throat congestion
Hot water is a wonderful natural treatment for colds. It can naturally dissolve phlegm and clear your airways. It not only clears out nasal congestion, but it also soothes sore throat symptoms as well.
Prevents constipation
Forget cold water, drinking war
It’s been one year today since you left us, my beautiful son. I woke up this morning with a heavy heart, with no words to express what I’ve been feeling every single day since you’ve been gone, my son. Then I received this from your sister. It was as if I wrote this myself. I’ve felt this every single day. Forever in my heart, I love you, Chance Wheatley. ❤️🩹🙏❤️
I missed you today, but that’s nothing new.
I missed you a million times yesterday too.
I picked up my phone to tell you the news, then realized, again, I can’t text it to you.
I saw your bright smile at least twenty times, and then I remember, it’s all in my mind.
I drive without presence; the world feels surreal. And on comes your song, and this doesn’t seem real.
I missed you today, but I miss you a lot. It’s helpful to miss you. It’s all that I’ve got.
I wish I could pull you down here for a while. I’m frightened to lose the shape of your smile.
I miss you today, and I’ll miss you tomorrow.
There seems to be no coming end to this sorrow.
I try to go on as I know that you care. I know that you’re willing me on from up there.
I miss you today, but I’m trying to find a way to move on but not leave you behind.
A way to forge on with the love that we had. A way to recall you and simply feel…glad.
Mineral salts stop us from overheating and prevent us from getting cold.
Without mineral salt, they would constantly be susceptible to dehydration, severe Adema, and unproductive diuretic conditions.
They are that integral to keeping you alive and well so that you are in the best place to deal with whatever comes your way.

Love my Lemons
I’m always interested in learning the benefits of different fruits and vegetables and how they can promote good health.
Lemons are the topic of the day. I always loved the taste of lemons, especially in my green juices.
1. Antibacterial
When you ingest lemon juice the acid from the lemon juice acts as a antibacterial force inside your stomach.
You can also use lemons to clean your cutting boards and counters.

Besides boosting your immune system, vitamin C helps destroy H. pylori, which is a type of bacteria in your stomach. H. pylori is being research for it’s ability to cause stomach ulcers.
Here is a great stomach and gut tonic. This will help you go to the restroom and it will help your stomach fight off any unwanted bacteria like H. pylori. The tonic includes: 1 cup of warm water, 1/2 lemon (juiced), 1 teaspoon of ground flaxseed.
3. Alkalize the Body
Believe it or not but lemon are alkalizing for the body. Many people think since lemons are sour they are actually acidic inside your body. Inside your body lemons don’t act acidic, instead they have alkalizing properties that keep your pH balance.
It’s best to start your day with warm water and lemon juice.
4. Liver Cleanser
Lemons help stimulate your liver and helps flush out toxins like uric acid and also liquefies the bile. This is part of the reason why lemons are used as a great cleanser.

Vitamin P is a flavonoids. Flavonoids are powerful antioxidants that help neutralize free radials associated with cellular damage and aging. Flavonoids also help reduce inflammation.
