Woah, it’s been a journey guys.
If you’ve been following me for a while, or have sat in my chair, you know how conflicted I am sharing personal details of my life on here. But I’m older and care less now, so f**k it. 😎 my life hasn’t been “picture perfect” and isn’t actually aesthetically pleasing or organized, unlike my presentation of photos on this app. And that’s okay.

I have been a go getter entrepreneur since I was 6 years old when I was handing out hand made business cards to strangers in my neighborhood for dog walking services. I started my own children’s clothing line when I was 23. Opened a online boutique. Had a “professional” photographer business. Started a party rentals & planning company I truly had no business doing. All of these things simply because 1. I’m raw do**in ADHD without meds. 2. Because I’ve just always have the f**king audacity and believed in myself.

Now, I’ve also built two salons, moved states twice and started each time with clientele.

Within all of this, I was also divorced at 25 and struggled as a single parent. I was in an an extremely abusive relationship following that and didn’t know if I would survive it, and made plans for my kids to live without me. It nearly took my life, and without any friends or family for emotional support I pulled myself and my kids of the damn trenches. Worked my ass off and focused on my dream. Then I met my now husband and remarried and have a imperfect but incredible blended family. I’ve moved more times than I can count. Have loss friendships because of my faults and mistakes. I’ve also made unexpected friendships and bonds I never thought were possible.

It’s been f**king messy, and not cute “messy bun” kind of way. But when have I ever done anything the conventional way really 🙄 I’ve always been an outsider, in my own family and in my life. But I always believed in myself.

Point is, Instagram is a fantasy land where we can easily get sucked into comparing ourselves and our lives with others. Followers mean nothing. Behind these photos lives another reality. Just show up, even if things don’t go as planned. Show up as your authentic ass self. Put good people around you. Work on loving yourself. Do more of the things that make you happy and spend more time with yourself. Read a book (I swear this is better than therapy- and cheaper)

this salon concept has been brewing for nearly 2 years. This space was nothing more than some framing, bricks and a nasty ass rotted floor when I found it. Now it’s an absolutely stunning salon paradise, where every single inch was carefully considered and designed. I poured my heart, and soul into this space and I’m just so thankful for my husband, father, friends and team who were there to support me through my many mental breakdowns, constant construction delays, and also many happy dances along the way. It’s so beautiful in person and now the best part awaits… filling the space with like minded and talented artists and and a management team who really make it shine and come to life 😍 and all the amazing clients who we get to make feel beautiful in our work paradise.
