Condolences to Bears family and friends.We lost a good one last night, one of the best. Damn horrible cancer you put up a fight and not wanting to hear this outcome. Bear you were bigger than life and always were able to make us laugh with your antics. You will be horribly missed. Our hearts are broken. Notice of Police Es**rt through City of Lakeport this morning, drivers asked to pull over Today at 11 AM Lakeport Police Department Officers and the Lakeport Fire Protection District will be es**rting the Wreaths Across America Truck through the City of Lakeport. We will start at Highway 29 and 175 and then travel north on Main Street through the city and then west on 11th Street. We will be running with emergency lighting and and may sound a siren as necessary to keep intersections clear. We ask that drivers pull over and allow the es**rt to pass. Additionally if you happen to be outside near others remember to practice social distancing and masking. We ask that you honor this process as this truck is carrying wreaths that will be placed on the graves of veterans in our county.
