When it comes to developing good character, Primrose students have 12 special helpers. Through songs, stories, activities and more, teachers use the Primrose Friends to help children learn about positive character traits like generosity ❤️, courage 🦁 and cooperation 🤝.

Which Friend is your child most like?

The start of a new school year is always exciting, but little ones sometimes feel nervous about making the transition whether that be the prospect of a new classroom, new teachers or new friends. Try these tips to help build your child's confidence for the first day of school and beyond:​

👋 Wave Goodbye to Summer: Enjoy an end-of-summer picnic and a first day back at school breakfast with your family.​
​
🙂 Keep it Positive: Your attitude makes a huge difference when it comes to building excitement about the school year. Talk to your child about all the fun they'll have and how they'll get to see their school friends soon. ​
​
🍎 Practice Healthy Habits: Schedules tend to get off track in the summer, so it's important to reestablish your child's normal sleeping and eating schedules. The transition will be easier for both of you when your little one is well-rested and feeling good. ​
​
🗓️ Make a Paper Chain: Starting in the final days of summer, create a paper chain with every "link" representing one day. Have your child draw what happened that day on each link. When the first month of school is over, you'll have a fun memory craft to decorate with. ​
​
📚 Read Together: Reading books about heading back to school is a fun way to get your child excited while helping strengthen their early literacy skills. ​

In June, Primrose schools in Middle Tennessee hosted over 340 teachers for Professional Development Day! This event was full of learning, collaboration, team-building exercises and networking. ​

We're happy to support by providing them continuous opportunities to learn and grow. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this Professional Development Day to life, from schools and Franchise Owners to our guest speaker and the amazing teachers who help build a brighter future for every student.

Spring Fling has come to an end, and this year the Primrose community has raised more than $510,000 as children learned about the joy of giving without expectation. 🌸🎉​

Half of the funds raised will support local charities in Primrose school communities, and the other half support the Primrose Schools Children Foundation's mission to empower people, care for the planet and give back to communities through contributions to West Lakes Early Learning Center, No Kid Hungry®, Save the Children® and more.

Today is Juneteenth, a holiday that commemorates Black history, equality and freedom in the United States. It's a day of remembrance, but also a day of joy and celebration for Black Americans. We honor and encourage families to join us in recognition of this important occasion!

Con-GRAD-ulations to our Pre-Kindergarten class of 2024!

We are so very proud of the students for finishing the Pre-K program. They did an amazing job at graduation and moved many of the guests to tears with their heartwarming songs.

We are honored to have been trusted with their education and have loved seeing them grow and learn! We can’t wait to see what else they can accomplish!!

During our monthly staff meeting last night, we got Mik Mart ice cream truck to come as a belated finale to teacher appreciation! It was refreshing to sit outside and enjoy the sun!

On Friday, we had a great time getting to shower our mothers with the love they deserve. We had roses for them to enjoy, and the older classrooms got to have a little party where they had crafts and treats!

We see how hard all of our mothers work, and we appreciate all that you do!

Motherhood is beautiful and rewarding. But it’s also challenging. We know that caring for your family starts with caring for yourself, so this , we’re encouraging you to start a new tradition. It only takes a few seconds, but it can make a big difference over time.

We got to treat our teachers to some lunches this week for teacher appreciation!

The wings and pizza from Pizza Hut were a huge hit- who doesn’t love a pizza party!? There were smiles and laughter from the staff lounge all throughout lunches which was wonderful to hear! 💕

Today we got an array of different foods from Sushi Cafe! It all smelled good delicious and we can’t wait for the teachers to enjoy!!

Thank you again to all of the parents who helped us show our teachers so much love this week. We appreciate all of the work that they do and couldn’t ask for a better Primrose family!

Teacher appreciation week has had a sweet start at Primrose this year!!

We have loved to seeing all of the sweet treats and warm smiles around the school as we show a teachers just how much we truly appreciate them!!

We are excited to honor AANHPI Heritage Month! This month is a celebration of the history, traditions and achievements of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders. Students at Primrose schools enjoy books written by authors, like "Grandpa Across the Ocean" by Hyewon Yum, and folk songs from our Harmony and Heart® music collection like "Sakura" to learn about the importance of celebrating many cultures and backgrounds. Follow along this month for a chance to test your knowledge and share your cultural traditions!

Spring Fling is in full effect at Primrose schools. Students are learning the importance of giving back to their communities all while having fun at carnival themed events, water activities, family competitions and more. We’re excited to share the results of these fantastic fundraisers next month.

We had so much fun celebrating Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day with a carnival theme! Primrose students develop a respect for the planet as they grow plants, learn about conservation and practice sustainability. Today, little ones worked together to reuse milk jugs as planters for their beans and flowers as well as invited parents and grandparents to help plant seeds in the Primrose Patch garden and more.

Happy Earth Day Primrose Families!

We are in the Earth Day spirit today as all of the classrooms are learning, crafting, and reading all things related to the Earth!

Our Infant classroom enjoyed getting messy with some blue and green paint and exploring some new textures!
Our Toddler Classroom worked together to make a giant hand-print Earth which the had a blast with!
Our EPS classrooms talked all about recycling and started and Earth themed craft that let them practice cutting some paper!
Our Pathways room made some bird feeders and planted some seeds that they get to care for and watch grow.
Our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classroom practiced knowing when to recycle (event doing some actual recycling!) and made their own Earths to hang around their room!
