Potter-McKean Players exists to provide quality theatrical productions for the public utilizing local talent for all aspects of production, and to provide forums for local actors to develop and enhance their craft.
Calling all actors! Anyone interested in performing in a Readers Theater format please reach out to Jared Empson to be assigned parts for Friday night. The performance will begin shortly after 6pm. I will be at the arboretum shortly after 5pm verifying the sound. I will have scripts with me.
Readers Theater is a very relaxed performance style allowing performers to have a script in hand while honing their acting skills.

Community Theater Set to Return to Potter and Mckean Counties.
Actors, singers, stage crew and sound engineers are needed as the Potter-Mckean players are set to revive local production and performance of plays and musicals.
A recruitment/organizational meeting will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 6:30 pm until 8 pm, at the Park United Methodist Church in Coudersport for anyone interested in being a part of the theatrical troupe.
Potter-Mckean players have been performing Broadway style shows for over 40 years and are looking to continue their tradition of providing quality local entertainment with planned productions of “A Christmas Carol” in December and the hit musical “Momma Mia” later this Spring. Plans are also being made to perform traditional shows as “Theater in the Round” at various venues including the Coudersport Arboretum.
Singing and acting ability is not a requirement to become a member of the Potter-Mckean Players as there are many jobs to be done behind the scenes for every production. The need for sound engineers to operate state of the art equipment for each show is of the upmost importance. Additionally, there are stage crew, costuming, make-up, and set design positions that must be filled.
Everyone with an interest in taking part is welcome and encouraged to attend. New officers for the group will also be elected that evening.
