🎄✨ Give Back This Holiday Season with A Wish Come True! ✨🎄

Last year, thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to bring holiday magic to 62 families and 162 wish kids and their siblings through our Santa’s Workshop! This special event lets wish parents "shop" for gifts in a festive setup, choosing presents for their children just like they would in a store. Our amazing team of "elves" is there to wrap the gifts and load them into the car, making the experience truly magical for everyone involved. 🎁💫

Here's how you can help make this year’s Santa’s Workshop unforgettable:

1. Choose an age range and gender to buy gifts for. We especially need extra help finding gifts for our 14-18-year-old boys and girls!

2. Donate if you're short on time, and our elves will take care of the shopping for you!

🎃✨ This past Friday, we held our 2024 Trunk-or-Treat, and it was an unforgettable night filled with awesome costumes, candy, and so much Halloween fun for our Wish Children and their families! 👻🍬

Once again RocknJock Charities supported A Wish Come True and F.A.R.A. At their concert and golf tournament in August! We are happy to grant a magical wish because of this great committee!! It is their 25th Anniversary next year and we can’t wait to make this even bigger and better!!

Please join me in thanking Paul Zarella and Sue Rowles for hosting their 14th Annual Williams & Stuart Golf Tournament for A Wish Come True. September 28th was a big day for A Wish Come True!! Their team raised $10,000 to help our incredible Wish Kids.

Since inception, this event has raised over $150,000 to support our amazing Wish Kids and their Families!!! Each year this is a sold-out golf tournament at Cranston Country Club! Next year will be the 15th Anniversary and we can't wait to participate.

We are thrilled to have Denise Lopez join our amazing A Wish Come True staff team as our new Director of Development. Denise has had extensive experience in business development working for companies such as Deutsche Asset Management and First Data Investor Services Group(PFPC) as a Senior Business Analyst. Most recently she was the Development Officer at Bishop Hendricken High School where she led data-driven fundraising strategies for signature events, leadership giving and annual fundraising initiatives. She also has been a strong community organizer as a lead activist for causes that are important to her. Denise has a degree in accounting from the University of Rhode Island. She lives in East Greenwich with her two sons and husband, Rene.

June and her family had the most magical time at Give Kids The World and exploring all the Disney parks! 🎡✨ As our first Wish Child from Connecticut, June’s wish was extra special. Her family shared, "I know they say Disney is the most magical place on Earth, but we're pretty sure that Give Kids The World is the most magical." 🌍❤️ Like many of our wish families, they feel that Give Kids The World offers something truly unique—making life simple, magical, and providing a much-needed respite from the challenges of caring for a child with a life-threatening illness.

They enjoyed a well-deserved vacation filled with unforgettable moments and are beyond grateful for every part of the experience. At A Wish Come True, we want to grant more wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses living in Connecticut. This unforgettable experience was made possible thanks to the support of everyone who participated in the 2024 Polar Plunge! ❄️ Your generosity helped make Sofia’s dream a reality, and her family says it was truly a trip they will never forget. 💫

We are incredibly grateful that A Wish Come True was chosen by Anthony Carpinello as the charity of choice this year at the Catholic Cemeteries Conference held in Providence on October 3, 2024. The Sunrise Walk raised $654.22 but the generosity didn’t stop there. The attendees from all over the United States came together and passed a basket around collecting an additional $1756. Bob De Beltrand of McCleskey Mausoleum Construction Company announced that he would match the amount collected. In total, $4166.22 was raised. We love when community comes together for a great cause! 🌟 Another Wish Wednesday: Luke's Magical Adventure 🌟

Luke’s wish became a reality with an unforgettable trip to Give Kids The World Village! 🏰 He and his family experienced all the wonder Disney has to offer, from meeting beloved characters to enjoying magical moments at the parks. This trip was extra special because Luke’s mom and aunt were once wish children themselves, and they were thrilled to show Luke and his brother the amazing experiences that Give Kids The World and Disney offer. It was a heartwarming family adventure filled with joy and memories to last a lifetime!

🌟 Wish Wednesday: Dariell’s Dream Come True 🌟

Dariell’s dream came true when he got to visit Give Kids The World with his family and explore all the Disney parks! 🎡✨ They took tons of amazing pictures with all his favorite characters, and the joy on Dariell's face was priceless. He absolutely loves the characters and cherished the wonderful love and hugs they shared with him. This adventure was filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable memories for the whole family!
