What an amazing experience it was teaching Postmodern Bookselling this week!

Thank you and the team for the opportunity to develop a curriculum and all the support along the way.

Book people are the best people, and our class was no exception. It was both rewarding and great fun to share our experience and engage in dialogue about navigating the trade in the 21st century with Leslie, Miranda, Laurelin, Elline, Diane, Kathlyn, Zandra, and Vic.

West Coast 😎 Best Coast

There’s something for everyone as rare book and ephemera specialists, scholars, and collectors converge on the West Coast for a series of special events celebrating fine works on paper.

The activities begin in the Pacific Northwest, with the return for the first time in two years of the Seattle Antiquarian Book Fair, October 8-9, at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall. The book fair is followed by the Ephemera Society of America Mid-Year Gathering and Tour, October 10-13, in Portland, Oregon. The following weekend, Rare Books LAX takes flight October 14-16 at The Proud Bird, just minutes from Los Angeles International Airport. During all these events, Biblio.com is hosting a Biblio.live virtual book fair from October 7-16, bringing the world of booksellers and collectors together online.

In conjunction with Rare Books LAX, the 47th Annual American Printing History Association (APHA) conference will also be held at The Proud Bird. The organization encourages the study of the history of printing and related arts and crafts, including calligraphy, typefounding, typography, papermaking, bookbinding, illustration, and publishing.
