Updated Tournament Schedules
(as of April 9, 2024)
Super proud of these boys yesterday! Tournament in Roxboro NC! We were invited and was told after the tournament by several other coaches they wanted us to play in their upcoming tournaments.
First game we won 20 to 19
Second game lost in OT 42 to 36
Third game lost 36 to 32
We were never down more than single digits and played with every team! The heart and determination these guys showed was awesome! We had parents from the other teams approaching me about just how impressed they were with our team! Some were at the North Carolina tournament last year and was very impressed with the improvement from one year to the next! Last year, man defense was a struggle and this tournament I would argue our boys played the best man defense of any team there. Switching and not switching on screens with excellent communication, protecting the driving gaps, staying in the passing lanes and the COMMUNICATION WERE AWESOME!!! The teams yesterday were probably the strongest competition these boys have seen since we started playing AAU.
The work these guys put in to get to where they are now is just amazing! Proud of these guys! There is no greater sense of pride, as a coach, when you see how much of an improvement our coaching staff had on these boys from one year to the next! Big shout out to all the parents for all of their help yesterday!
Huge shout out to Roland Donithan for helping coach last AAU season and this one! The progress of the boys wouldn’t be where it is without him! He is instrumental in practices! Roland does a ton for these guys getting them to practices and bringing food for these kids! Great coach!
We also added Coach Wayne Oiler this year to help! He has made a great impact with these boys just this season! Looking forward to the impact he will have this season. He is always willing to give rides and help where needed! Gives the boys solid advice and guidance during practice as well!
You will not find any better coaches than these two!
WE DON’T RECRUIT PLAYERS WE DEVELOP THEM!!!

Everyone had a good time after our tournament at Applebees. We not only have a great group of kids but parents as well.
Proud of these boys. For a first game there was a lot of nerves and jitters, but with each game they took the feedback that was provided and applied it and they just got better and better. We are pleased with their progress and to have almost won their last 2 games speaks of their growth. Look forward to what this year has in store.
Attention Girls parents:

New jerseys for the Mountain Elite Girls!
****Parents Announcement****
We purchased an electronic statistics system and a camera system. I need volunteers for helping to keep stats and filming the games.
My plan is to have a film session after each tournament. With the new stat system we will have the ability to keep a much broader set of stats on each of our players.
If you are interested in helping with either of those please let Janice Wiseman know at 540-598-6586. You can also message us on Facebook.
At the end of the season we will give awards for stat category leaders.
