Introducing Wonderwood Village Homeschool Enrichment Program!

Wonderwood Village’s homeschool enrichment program is an exploratory-based forest school experience for children ages 4-12. Nature is our greatest teacher; it provides the rich context for interdisciplinary student projects and discoveries. Within this innovative outdoor learning program, we find a balance of thoughtfully crafted teacher facilitation and child-led learning.

Half of each enrichment session will be hands-on exploratory, teacher facilitated learning and the second half of the session will be a student-centered emergent curriculum through which the teacher will scaffold each child's learning through their self-directed discoveries in the natural world. As well as principles we practice through Acton Academy.

In our beautiful nature-based setting, Wonderwood Village’s multi-age students learn to collaborate on projects, pursue their interests, ask questions, and care for others and the environment. This enrichment opportunity offers the combination of project-based, hands-on science and environmental education, with an exciting and engaging nature-based art experience.

Location: Grassy Cove, Crossville, TN
Time: 9-2
Days: TBD 2 Days per week, each day dedicated to specific age group

This will only launch if we have the appropriate interest to cover financial needs of instructors.

DETAILS ON WHAT’S INCLUDED:
The tuition includes all class materials (journals, art supplies and other items).

Classes may not be paid for individually. There is a 9 month commitment to our place-based, nature immersion program.

Service learning opportunities will empower students to work collaboratively to create, problem solve, support one another, and dream of a bigger and better world.

Nature Journals will be provided. Each student will record in their journals what they learn with drawings, data collections, creative and expository writing, personal reflections, and questions to research.

Now that our sweet summer program has come to and end the reality of our next big thing sets in!

Our Acton Academy affiliation is coming close to it's cumulation and we are anticipating the launch of our website in the very near future.

We believe children are capable of far more than we’ve ever imagined. Through agency, self-paced education, and meaningful work, we believe our heroes find joy in learning.

After we close out our year on May 25th, we will officially be known as Wonderwood Village! The memories of the last 2 years have been deeply embedded in my memory and heart and I have cherished every second of the time I have spent with our kids and families!

We are so grateful to have the support of our friends over at Willow Cafe & Catering to grant us use of their restaurant space for our Village Council meetings!

Magnolia Montessori will be unveiling our new name at the Cumberland County TN Master Gardeners Flower, Lawn & Garden Show 2024!

Our kids are currently growing microgreens, making lots of wild jellies, crafting pressed flower candle votives and more! These items will be sold at the show, along with some great outdoor gear and special items that speak to nature lovers of all kinds!

Our Parent Advisory Committee, our WOLF PAC ahhhoooo!, will be in attendance to help educate all the willing listeners about our special programs and what Forest School is exactly as well as to guide you to the perfect items at our table!

Honorable mention is our Silent Auction item of a FREE week of Forest & Farm Summer Camp!
