Registration is open for the Crown Point Athletics Adult Hockey League!🏒 Players must be 18 and older and registered with USA Hockey prior to playing. Register as an individual or as a team.

A team consists of 13 players. 𝙂𝙊𝘼𝙇𝙄𝙀𝙎 𝙋𝙇𝘼𝙔 𝙁𝙍𝙀𝙀! This is a no-check hockey league. Games begin in January 2025. Register by calling 219-661-2271.

Honor veterans during the City of Crown Point’s annual Veterans Day ceremony hosted with American Legion Post 20 at 𝟭𝟬:𝟯𝟬 𝗮.𝗺. 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗡𝗼𝘃. 𝟭𝟭, on the east side steps of the historic Lake County Courthouse.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will move to the rotunda of the courthouse.

Join the City of Crown Point and Crown Point Fire Rescue to unveil the newest fire engine at 𝟭 𝗽.𝗺. 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗡𝗼𝘃. 𝟲! There will be brief comments, a tour of the new engine and a swearing-in ceremony for our newest firefighter, Brandi Chavero!👩‍🚒 All are welcome to attend!🚒

On/after Wednesday, Nov. 6, the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Troutwine Road will be closed for approximately two days. Please follow the posted detour signs, which will reroute traffic to Merrillville Road. We appreciate everyone's patience while work is underway.

Applications for the City of Crown Point’s Winter Market are open! Vendor space is $75 and all interested vendors must submit an application by Wednesday, Nov. 20. The indoor market will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, at Wheeler Middle School, located at 401 W. Joliet St. Register at crownpoint.info/eventeny.

SANTA LETTER SIGN-UPS
Registration is open for the City of Crown Point's Santa Letters program. If you have multiple children, please fill out one form per child. All requests must be received by 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22. To celebrate, enjoy some fun facts from our friends at the Crown Point Library!
🌟The first post office in Lake County opened in Crown Point in 1836.
🌟Robinson’s Prairie become Crown Point in June 1840 — its name gleaned from being the highest point in Lake County.
🌟Crown Point hosted the first county fair in 1852. It was held for one day at the Courthouse.
🌟Crown Point was incorporated as a town on June 3, 1868.
🌟Crown Point became a City on June 6, 1911.

Today, Mayor Pete Land, City staff and Crossroads Chamber celebrated the opening of The Electric Zoo & Emporium, located at 1752 E. North St.!

The Electric Zoo has been 25 plus years in the making. Its owner and head artist, Jimmy Choss, has been obsessed with tattooing from birth. After working for more than 25 years in the industry, he wanted to take his knowledge, expertise and artistry and pass it on to two apprentices and open up his own shop.

Electric Zoo offers beautiful custom tattoos, custom clothing, prints, hand-crafted art, entomology displays and much more.
