This is Shark Week on the Discovery Channel so today Residents got a visit from a Shark. Amanda is in the Shark costume and Jennifer is chauffeuring her around, they are from Gentiva Home Health. Thank you ladies for a wonderful surprise.

First crop of cucumbers out of our Courtyard Garden. Mr. Story is doing a great job growing produce so Residents can enjoy fresh vegetables. Pictured with Mr. Story is Bonnetta, Food Service Manager, Vanessa and Judy cooks. Tomorrow we will have a good salad with fresh cucumbers.

Happy Mother’s Day! Mother’s Day Celebration was great with Greg’s piano music and Bonnetta’s Banana Splits. Marigolds for the ladies to enjoy and later plant them in our Mother’s Day planter in the Courtyard.

Cinco De Mayo Day was Sunday May 5th. For lunch a delicious meal was prepared for Residents by Bonnetta Baughman the Food & Beverage Director along with cooks Vanessa Nichols & Judy Osmer.

Today is Administrative Professionals Day. Staff and Residents celebrated DeeDee Cleghorn and Sandra Black, Appreciation for all they do for staff and Residents. Thank you 😊

This is Volunteer Appreciation Week. We love an appreciate all our Volunteers. So far this week we have celebrated Wade Maynard on Monday, Daniel McCade on Tuesday and Rodrick Windham on Wednesday for Devotion time with Residents and friends.

Wonderful Singing and Piano music by Rodrick Windham, Ms. Faye Speegle’s Grandson-N-Law, was enjoyed by all.

Shari Hunt, Ms. Glenda Watts daughter entertained Residents and guests with an afternoon full of wonderful piano music and singing.

Residents watched the Solar Eclipse today. Everyone enjoyed getting to experience this amazing event.

What a blast the Residents had at Simcoe Senior Center with community members today. Sheriff Matt Gentry and his officers provided grilled Hamburgers and Hotdogs plus. District attorney Champ Crocker visited with us along with County Commissioner Clemens and VSO Bradley Williams.
