Fresh Peach Ice Cream. Finally !

Last year I spent over $100 on peaches and never had a good batch of ice cream to sell.

I have more peaches ripening now .....

Added some spicy peanuts to the sweet yellow corn ice cream. Granulated. Add a little heat and some texture. Not bad.

Sweet Yellow Corn. Our new small batch ice cream flavor.

My Father was raised on a corn field during the depression. He would leave that farm as soon as he was able. My Uncle Oma Lee loved the land and would die on that farm many years later.

Uncle Oma Lee would never marry. He lived in the back room of a standalone garage next to my Uncle Lamar and Aunt Dollies house. She would prepare all his meals and take care of him. She was an amazing woman. So kind and giving.

My uncle would survive throat cancer at an early age. He used a microphone device to communicate. I never understood a word he said.

Every summer he would pick me up in his Chevy Silverado and we would go 'ride' the fields. He would stop and point at the crop. So proud.

A few summers I worked for him selling the crop at the State Farmers Market in Forest Park. We would load an old pickup with the ears of corn. Then drive the truck up I-75 at a max speed of 30 mph. The truck would be at a 45 degree angle. Terrifying.

At home we would eat fresh sweet corn for dinner at night. It was delicious.

He had a shack in the "bottoms" land. His best land. There was many poker games held in that shack. The "bottoms" are now the home of Eagles Landing Golf and Country Club in Stockbridge GA.

This flavor is personal. I hope you try it. Thank you to all the Farmers, past and present, who literally feed us.

Don't worry. We have regular cookies n cream and banana pudding also.

Our local wildflower honey ice cream is back. Made fresh in our store.

It takes every ounce of willpower I have not to eat these. One of my favorite ice creams.

Rainy day yesterday so it was a good time to make some more vanilla. Will be ready in 12 months.
