Standing by YOU and your littles through this process and beyond. Listen, we KNOW it’s hard when your little one is crying. We KNOW you could easily “fix” it by scooping them up and snuggling them. Take it from this sweet momma who is 3 kids deep into our swim program…it’s works and it’s worth it. It’s worth every single tear cried (by them and maybe by you too). This was this sweet girls third time floating independently this day and her mom was crying tears of JOY because she knows her baby is safe. She knows where her air is and she can find it. She hasn’t even celebrated her first birthday and she can save herself in the event of an aquatic accident. Read that again and again. THAT is what it’s all about. LISTEN TO ME NOW: Your little one will 100% feed off of YOUR energy. So help us, help them, by being their biggest cheerleader from the side. Big smiley faces, claps, eye contact and cheering are ALL encouraged. If YOU are nervous and scared believe me your little is going to be nervous and scared. Using positive and uplifting words when talking about swim will help your child feel more confident to take on something that can seem intimidating, especially at first. They CAN do it. We’ve never been more confident about anything in our lives either. Teaching your child to self rescue is more precious than gold. Survival Swim Lessons are ONE of the 🖐️ layers of protection: 1. Supervise with touch aka if your child is in the water you should be too. 2. Know CPR: knowing this could save your child’s life! 3. Prevent Access to Pools…locks, gates, fences and alarms. 4. Enroll in SURVIVAL swim lessons…not all swim lessons are created equal. 5. Empty Kiddie Pools: empty after each use and store upside down to prevent water collection.
Little Swimmers take your mark…..gooooo. A little friendly competition never hurt anyone and these cuties made it so much fun. They started their morning practicing and perfecting their life saving skills and then went about their day as usual. This video represents so much of what embodies our program. Making safe and smart choices. One swimmer here knows he can kick and make it all the way to the pole in one breath while the other chooses to roll and rest until she’s ready to finish her swim. Both know their limits and their options in the water and for someone who isn’t even potty trained yet I’d say that’s pretty impressive…don’t you? Making safe, smart and capable swimmers. This sweet three year old is showing off her swim float swim skills as she confidently gets herself from one side of the pool to the other. Putting the FUN in FUN GROUP as we head into Spring Break! As a reminder we WILL be open next week and operating as usual! Headed out of town? No problem! Just please remember to put in your absences via the Parent Portal if you plan to be out. This will allow other families the option to request a make-up class during the time you are away. As a reminder, you are only issued one makeup token per month for an excused absence. So thankful our number of confident and capable swimmers is growing every week!! This sweet swimmer just turned 3 and is showing off her survival skills here. She can swim, roll to her back to float, and then roll back over to swim again until she reaches her destination. This skill is LIFE SAVING and is a big part of what makes us different from other swim schools.
