Basil Hayden is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that's aged in Clermont, Kentucky. It's part of the Small Batch collection and was created in 1992 by Booker Noe, a 6th-generation Jim Beam Master Distiller. The bourbon is inspired by Meredith Basil Hayden, Sr., a Maryland rye farmer who moved to Kentucky to start distilling. Basil Hayden is made with a high-rye mash bill and bottled at 80 proof.

Pot Still Reserve: This bourbon uses a wheated mashbill of 65% corn, 20% wheat, and 15% malted barley, which replaces rye's spiciness with creamy wheat. It has notes of cinnamon red hots, vanilla, and is described as sweetly-spiced and creamy. The bourbon is aged for 8–10 years in a single barrel and bottled at 94 proof in a pot still decanter.

Fun fact: The bottle is in the shape of the pots they are made in!
