Hello everyone, and thank you for following my growing page!

My name's Mark and I'm the sole proprietor of Ctrl + Z Repairs.

In case it was lost in translation, I do small electronic repairs, which include cell phones (including damaged screens), computers, laptops, home consoles, and plenty more.

Along with small repairs I'm also capable of setting up additional networking equipment such as wifi extenders, mesh routers, and small local cloud servers. I can also set up doorbell cameras, outdoor wireless cameras, and can help beef up the security of your home network.

I do my best to provide excellent service, and take care to fix anyone else's belongings as if they were my own. If you have any tech related questions, please feel free to reach out! I'll do my best to assist you, and promise to charge a fair rate for my time.

General questions and assistance are welcomed, as I'm constantly trying to expand my knowledge, and love to find answers. If this becomes popular enough, I may create a tip jar where if you find my advice helpful or useful, you can express your gratitude there.

What this means is that by Google's standards I have been deemed capable of dealing with computers and their issues as well as being able to professionally and efficiently help out others with those computer issues.

Remember, if you need any assistance with any tech you may have, please feel free to reach out! I'm great with most household tech items. Much thanks to those of you that have recently followed! I thought I'd reach out and let you know a little more about myself and what it is that I can do.

I've been in IT for about the past 5 years now. Becoming a Jr. System Admin at a small credit union. Managing the users (the employees that came and went) and unlocking their accounts and resetting their passwords when needed. Along with setting up workstations, desk phones, and fixing the computers, both software and hardware related issues. I currently work a local body government, providing basic IT support over the phone. Much of it involving remotely accessing computers and fixing software related issues. I also have plenty of experience working on computer hardware, which involves being able to take apart, and put computers back together and troubleshooting potential issues. I've also got tons of experience with home networks, and network topology. This includes beefing up your homes network security by updating your password and SSID (the name of your WiFi.)

This gives me the experience needed to setup things like home security systems, which includes things like wireless outdoor cameras, and doorbell cameras, and even with smart home setups, like smart thermostats. While also being able to fix your common household devices like laptops, tablets and even home consoles.

If any of these things sound like something you might need some help with, please feel free to send a message. I'm hoping to be able to help out my friends and their families. Also, I'm just one guy, so please understand that I have no big backing, or investors. I'm just one guy who enjoys doing these sorts of things, and would like to help others out.

Why should anyone avoid buying a pre-built PC? Mostly because of cost, and then denying yourself the fun that comes with the building process! Not only that, but when you buy pre-built you usually pay for an overpower CPU that you may not even need, and then RAM that is lacking in performance. Yes, the i9 9900, and 9900k are amazing processors but when it comes to gaming, they're a bit excessive. Chances are you'll never really use that CPU to it's full potential. Then while you're paying for an overpowered CPU, you're being given RAM cards that are a bit on the lower side. Especially in this day and age where RAM speeds reach up to 4.6GHz. A much better, much more efficient machine can be built at a fraction of the cost. With some deal hunting, you can several hundreds of dollars, while also getting parts that work more harmoniously with one another.

My personal build consists of-

Intel i5-9600k

NVIDIA FE (Founders Edition) RTX 2080 Super 8GB DDR6

Corsair Vengeance PRO RGB 3200MHz RAM (2x16GB) 32GB

500GB PNY XLR8 M.2 SSD

1TB Samsung SSD

Cost after taxes was $1,974.80.

Toe for toe my rig can stand up to this pre-built one I have listed here, and even after taxes, I still have more that $500 less. Even with the i5 9600k, my CPU is still not being used to it's fully capacity with some of the most demanding games out there.

So do yourself a favor, and either look into building yourself a PC, or let me do it for you, and still pay less than purchasing a pre-built rig.
