✨ Happy International Day of the Midwife ✨
Thank you to all of the women and families that we’ve had the privilege of caring for over the last couple of years. We are incredibly honored to work in this age-old profession. Did you know midwifery is one of the oldest professions in the world? What we do isn’t always easy, but it’s rewarding in so many ways🤍
Sending an enormous thank you to all of the wonderful midwives caring for and supporting families in our communities. We appreciate all that you do💕
We want to hear why you chose a midwife or something you love about your midwife (even if it wasn’t one of our midwives) 💖
💉 Epidurals 💉
📣 There is a common misconception that midwives oppose pain medication. That is 💯% incorrect. As CNMs, we support any type of birth you desire. It’s our job to educate you while being your guide throughout your entire experience.
👩🏼⚕️👩🏻⚕️ We are experts when it comes to physiologic birth and the birth process. We support shared decision making and we give you the options and tools that you need to make informed choices.
📣 According to our stats from 2023, DWW was split 50/50 when it came to medicated versus unmedicated births.
🚀 When active labor beings, we meet you in our office to determine next steps and to review your plan 📝Some people choose to labor in our labor room until they are ready for L&D and others are ready for pain management. We then have a room waiting on you downstairs and we are with you during the entire process.
You can rest assured, that we support all types of pain management 💕

🤍 Doulas of North Texas Lunch & Learn 🤍
We had an exciting day at Presbyterian Dallas. For the first time ever, we had the opportunity to introduce our Presbyterian leadership team, hospital administrators and labor and delivery staff to a group of North Texas doulas.
Our hospital CNMs, OBs and L&D staff are so lucky to have these ladies supporting our moms throughout their prenatal and postpartum experiences.
We are so excited for what’s to come and we look forward to a continued partnership with all of our Dallas doulas.
Get yourself a doula, ladies. I promise it’s worth it 🩷

Our midwives and staff love seeing our prenatal clients new bundles💗
The moment of being tested physically, emotionally and psychologically beyond anything you have ever experienced. To sit in silence and just be, to run directly into your fears, to trust your body and to connect with the energy around you. This is the birth of a mother 🤍
One of our number one questions: Do I have to be on my back when I push? 🙅🏼♀️🙅🏽♀️🙅🏾♀️
We want you to push however and wherever you would like to push.
Even with an epidural, variations of hands & knees are a favorite of ours because it can lengthen pelvic floor muscles, increase uterine blood flow and enhance the fetopelvic relationship.
On your back, the sacrum is in direct contact with the bed and it becomes fixed. The sacrum needs to nutate. We encourage positions that are effective🩵
Our goal is for you to work smarter, not harder 💫
🌟 Celebrating National Midwife Week! 🌟
This week, we honor and appreciate the incredible work of midwives everywhere. Your dedication, compassion, and expertise bring immeasurable comfort and support to countless families during one of the most transformative moments of their lives.
👶🏽 From guiding expectant parents through pregnancy to providing essential care during labor and beyond, midwives play a vital role in ensuring safe and empowering childbirth experiences.
💖 Let's take a moment to acknowledge the profound impact midwives have on maternal and infant health, and the way they champion choice, autonomy, and informed decision-making.
🌿 To all the midwives out there, thank you for your tireless commitment to women's health and the wellbeing of newborns. Your presence is felt in the lives you touch and the communities you serve.
👏🏼 Let's continue to support and uplift midwives, and recognize the invaluable contribution they make to healthcare worldwide.
