What's up all, I know I have not been very present lately - I've been focused on training and getting to the next level so I can move foward and get you all to the next level. Something I had been working on was! in preparation for this course. I spent 3 days in Shreveport and slept in my car for a couple nights (shout out to Dustin "Our Top Shot Winner" for putting me up on our last night before the big exam!!) to take the Range Master Instructor Development Course from Tom Givens. For those of you who are unfamiliar with range master programs they are top notch training. Instructors who hold that certification are generally held in high regard because of the the standards they are held to. This course is intense and does not guarantee a cert. You will need to buckle down and put in the work in order to pass the 3 exams scoring above 90% on each - NOT EVERYONE PASSES. It was a blessing to be able to attend this course, and I look forward to taking more training with Tom Givens. Stay tuned, new class schedule will be dropping soon I look forward to seeing all of you on the range.

Inspired by Israel's 100rd exercises so I decided to try one.
1st pair of pics is 50rds
5rds x10 on a "2 second target" on. 75% idpa. I couldn't use the shot timer as there were too many shooters in the bay for clear readouts

2nd pair of pics is 1 reload 1@7yds 3 second targets.
Only 48 hits I didn't get the second hit twice before it turned away 2 of my 25 attempts.
You guys no me no filter no edits it is what is real shots taken In Real time. Haters gonna hate but I'll just keep putting in the work.

Thought I would share I felt real good about the reloads even though i missed the 3sec time twice but still not good enough.
I'll keep at it but would love to know what other drills some of you run.

They started the day on fundamentals, basic ballistics, and how to zero. They ended with 405yds of sprinting, taking shots on the move target Transitions, shoulder Transitions, and dragging weighted bags.

Had a lot of fun running these guys through my rifle 1 course. They all showed up with the right attitude ready to put in the work

If your firearm doesn't want to chamber please check you obstructions. It can put you in a dangerous sutuation. So make sure you don't force it.

If you choose to install your own optics please be careful and make sure you use the right screws and tightened to the correct torque specs. You'll save yourself time and money in repairs if you end up snapping a screw.

I'm glad this guy brought this rifle in to me. Was trying to remove a jammed live round with a hammer and screw driver. It's running well now and what a privilege to work on an old classic like this one.

Optics are something you really don't want to go cheap on. If your not sure reach out is be happy to help.
