IVF and family planning freedom are under attack in America. The infertility process is hard enough without added fear and stress. Parents need options, and women need reproductive freedom. That’s what I will fight for in the Texas House.

Every family has unique needs for family planning, including my own. Restrictions on embryos and IVF will make it harder and more expensive for Texas families to start or grow their families. It's time to remove the stigma of shame and fear around infertility.

We must stand up and fight for reproductive freedom and protect IVF and other alternative reproductive technologies for Texas families. Join me in this fight to ensure every family has the support and freedom they deserve.

On August 25, 2022, Texas' abortion ban trigger laws went into effect, thrusting us back into the 1800s and stripping away essential rights from women across our state. These laws don't just hurt women; they endanger doctors, increase maternal mortality, and push us into a future where infant mortality and trauma rates soar.

The statistics speak for themselves: Texas has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the nation, and banning access to safe abortions only worsens these numbers. We are forcing our neighbors, friends, and family members to navigate dangerous waters, all while living under archaic laws that don't reflect the values of a modern, compassionate society.

I am proud to be the ONLY representative in Collin County who trusts women to make their own decisions about their bodies and their futures. This November, we have the power to change our course and choose leaders who will stand up for our rights, our health, and our dignity.

Your vote is your voice — use it to protect the women of Texas. Let's build a future where our daughters can grow up knowing they are trusted and empowered to make their own choices.

With just 75 days until the general election on November 5, 2024, it's critical we understand the stakes.

Our public schools, abortion access, voting rights, and democracy are under threat from Greg Abbott and his far-right allies, and my opponent supports Texas’ abortion ban, defunding public schools, and overtaxing our energy grid.

Texas’ future is at stake and this election is about choosing a candidate who improves our quality of life!

Go to plesafortexas.com/vote to check your voter registration and make sure you are registered before October 7th.

Today, we honor the wisdom, resilience, and invaluable contributions of our seniors. They are the pillars of our families and communities, carrying with them a wealth of experience, stories, and life lessons that enrich our lives.

I'm proud to have worked in the Texas Legislature to ensure seniors who transition from a driver's license to a personal ID can easily maintain their voter registration. It's crucial that everyone, especially our seniors, has their voice heard at the ballot box. Your vote matters, and I'm committed to protecting it!

Thank you to all the seniors who continue to inspire us with their strength, kindness, and unwavering spirit. You are cherished and celebrated today and every day.

As the first Democrat elected to represent Collin County in the Texas House of Representatives in 30 years, I am filled with pride and gratitude as I send our dedicated delegation off to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. This moment is not just significant for our delegation but for all of us who believe in the values and principles that unite us as Democrats.

This convention is a chance to amplify our voices, share our vision for a just and equitable society, and connect with fellow Democrats from across the nation. I am proud to stand with our County Chair Sheena King and each of you as you represent our community, our shared ideals, and the progress we envision for Texas and beyond.

Together, we have worked tirelessly in our communities to advocate for policies that uplift our families, safeguard our environment, and ensure that every Texan has access to quality healthcare and education. Our journey has not been without challenges, but we have remained steadfast in our commitment to these principles.

As you head to Chicago to throw Texas’ support behind VP Harris and her new vision for our future, remember that you carry with you the hopes and aspirations of Collin County. Engage with others, share our stories, and return with renewed energy to continue the fight for our values. 💪I am excited to hear about the connections you will make and the ideas you will bring back to our community.

Thank you for your dedication and passion. Let’s continue to work together to build a brighter future for all. 🙌🙏

Safe travels and go make us proud!🩵

📢 Teachers are the backbone of our education system, yet morale among Texas teachers remains critically low. A recent TSTA survey shows that 65% of teachers were seriously considering leaving the profession last spring. Despite a record $33 billion budget surplus, the Legislature failed to increase state funding or raise teacher pay. 📉

Governor Abbott’s continued push for a voucher plan threatens to divert even more funds away from public schools. Texas already spends less per public school student than most states, and our teachers earn significantly less than the national average. 🍎✏️

Our educators deserve better. They work tirelessly, often taking on extra jobs and spending their own money on classroom supplies. It’s time for our state leaders to support public education, increase funding, and pay our teachers what they deserve. Let's stand together and ensure a brighter future for our children! 🌟👩‍🏫👨‍🏫

Coming home from a day on the doors in and women’s healthcare autonomy is definitely front and center on people’s minds. ⚕️

As we commemorate the anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, a monumental step towards equality and justice for all! I need to take a moment to recognize how far we have come.

As the first Democratic woman elected to the from Collin County, I stand on the shoulders of the courageous women and men who fought tirelessly for the rights we enjoy today. 🗳️

Texas played a pivotal role in this historic movement, being the ninth state to ratify the amendment and the first in the South to do so in June 1919. This achievement was not merely a moment in history; it was the culmination of decades of relentless protest and agitation by the women’s suffrage movement.

Through their determination, they passed suffrage acts, challenged male-only voting laws, picketed, held silent vigils, and even undertook hunger strikes.

Let us honor their legacy by continuing the fight for equality and ensuring that every voice is heard today. Let’s honor their legacy by recognizing that the story of voting rights and women’s rights in the country doesn’t end there. That was just the beginning… In fact, it continues to this day and we must be the torchbearers.

Together, we can build a future where everyone has the right to participate fully in our democracy. 💪✨

Words of excitement and encouragement were shared by local government representatives like the Mayor of Richardson and my colleagues and .roycewest, University officials and others, followed by an uplifting speech from Student Government President Devin Schwartz.

I am proud to have Joint-Authored the bill last session that made this vision a possibility and look forward to witnessing the construction of this innovative new facility that will inspire and support the University’s community of scholars for generations to come.
