Have you been in the Joule? Just because you live downtown doesn’t mean you shouldn’t enjoy a hotel lobby. They’ve got live jazz Fridays at 7 pm and so much art! Just wander through and grab a pizza at Sassetta or the best cheeseburger at CBD Provisions. That’s why we love downtown Dallas.

Holidays are fabulous downtown! Jazz trio at the Joule.

It's the 1st BIG weekend of Christmas! Do you have your plans made yet?

On Friday night head to the Adolphus Hotel to see their fabulous 25' tree lighting. Our very own Jay Cantrell will be in the hotel lobby sketching one of his infamous downtown buildings and carolers will be strolling through the lobby. Festivities are from 5-8pm.

Then get up early Saturday morning to get a good spot for the 2022 Dallas Holiday Parade! So many of your neighbors get involved in the parade including Katie Parr and her singers in a convertible! And I'm pretty sure you'll see the SOB Mobile somewhere around there. The parade starts at 10am at Commerce/Market and heads East to Harwood past the Statler. Stop at Flying Horse Cafe to grab a coffee or hot chocolate at Commerce/Akard.

Next head up to Klyde Warren Park to watch the festivities from 3-6pm. This year Mayor Eric Johnson will join Santa to light the 48' tall tree. The day starts with photos with Santa, story time with Mrs. Claus, and ends with a live show including music and visits from Frosty and the TREE LIGHTING!

Then head BACK to the AT&T Discovery District to watch THEIR Christmas tree lighting at 7pm. There will be music, carolers and many more fun surprises. The event is from 7-10pm.

And lastly, get up Sunday morning and head to AT&T Discovery District for the Discovery District Market led by Jackson The Brand. It is from 11-5pm and there will be many eclectic vendor booths to help you get your Christmas shopping done. You can even pose for a photo with Santa with a donation to the Children's Advocacy Center from 2-4pm.

So spend this weekend getting in the holiday spirit! And it's all WALKABLE! We'd love to see Christmas sweaters all over downtown this weekend!
