As this year draws to a close, we have an exciting announcement that affects our Allen location.

In 2024, we will be converting our Allen restaurant to a catering kitchen and event space. As such, normal restaurant operations will cease on December 1, 2023. If you or those you know have a scheduled and booked event at the restaurant through the rest of this year, don’t worry! We will still be here ready to serve.

The conversion of our facility to a catering kitchen will accomplish two goals: 1) providing a wonderful kitchen for our growing catering business, and 2) allowing us to continue to serve our community through charitable giving.

Since we began business 13 years ago, Ellen’s has always done our part to help feed those who are in need. We honestly believe it is a duty to help the less fortunate whenever possible, and we hope we have made an impact on lives through our giving of thousands of hot meals over the years.

We love and appreciate the support we have always received from the Allen community, and we plan to be here for many more years fulfilling our mission to feed the hungry.

🛠Construction Update🛠
We are thrilled to announce that we have received our building permit for our Preston/Campbell location. Let the hammers fly!

‼️IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT‼️

We had an issue at our restaurant in Allen this morning, and unfortunately we need to close for a few days to make some repairs. Our main electrical panel caught fire. It had been a bit sassy and obstinate for a while now, and we think it finally re-volted (ha!) against us. Everyone is safe, but we need to go to counseling and make peace with the electrics before we can reopen. Stay tuned!

After years of waiting, it finally happened! The third Ellen's has opened in the corner spot in Casa Linda Plaza!

Originally slated to be a Snooze AM, the pandemic upturned everything, including construction permits and building materials, and hit the brakes hard on this location. Ellen’s eventually took over and went through the long haul to make it happen.

According to their website, they have three more locations in the works in Dallas (at Preston & Campbell), Fort Worth, and Frisco.

“Dallas-based Ellen’s expanded its Southern comfort offerings to the Casa Linda area with a new restaurant that opened July 10.

The restaurant company, founded in 2012, is known for its homemade Southern comfort food, including pancake pot pie and chicken-fried steak. All of its menu items are made with fresh ingredients sourced locally whenever possible, according to the company’s website.”
