One suburb my clients are lovinggg 😍 Southlake!!!

Think exclusive, charming, sophisticated, relaxed with a hint of boujee to it when you think of this thriving suburb!

It’s known for its upscale subdivisions, excellent school systems, small-town charm, family-oriented community and the great thing about Southlake is the yards are much bigger so you get a lot more space for your kids to play and for your pets ♥️

You have the Park Village which has a ton of really nice restaurants and upscale shopping, the state-of-the-art Marq fitness & aquatic facility that just recently opened and there’s sooo many beautiful parks and trails (some of the prettiest in all of DFW in my opinion 😉). And they have a Central Market! YAY!

I think one of the biggest things that’s happening in this community that not too many people know about is the development of Carillon Parc! It’s going to be HUGE y’all! And like a little slice of Europe smack dab in the middle of North Texas!

With so many of my sweet clients building their custom dream home this year in Dallas/Fort Worth, I wanted to share 5 things I would do RIGHT NOW if I wanted to embark on that journey—

1. Get in touch with me!! More than likely, we have probably been DM’ing for a while and have gotten to know each other! We’ll go over your goals, estimated timeline, price point, key features you want in your home, etc. This way I can connect you with some of the best custom builders here in DFW that suite your home style/design, price point, and what your priorities are in a home. (I have soo many strong relationships with trustworthy, high-quality builders here in DFW and will make sure to put you in contact with a reputable builder 🫶🫶)

2. Get in touch with a LOCAL lender to see what you’re pre-approved for. This one is often overlooked but it’s one of the most important. (Ask me for my lender recommendations. I have several amazing ones here in DFW!) I do not work with anyone until they are 100% pre-approved with a lender. This gives us a firm idea on budget and shows the builder to take us seriously. (And this puts me in a way better positioned to discuss and negotiate project terms with the builder on your behalf 😊).

3. Start keeping a Pinterest board or files for your home inspo! I LOVE seeing how creative my clients can get with each room and it’s amazing getting to see it come to life. This also helps the design team understand your vision clearly and gives them pictures that they can easily refer to.

4. Decide WHERE you want to build your custom home. A lot of custom builders I work closely with build in some of the best communities all over DFW and almost all of them have the option to build on your own lot. (I created a complete homesite checklist that has been sooo helpful for all of my new construction clients. You can download it for free in my Custom Dream Home Channel. 😉)

5. Plan and schedule a time to visit the area and meet with custom builders. This is such a BIG DEAL! If you’re thinking about building your custom home, that could take anywhere from 6-12 months with the design and building process. I ALWAYS encourage my out-of-state clients to find a good time to visit the area so we can all sit down together as a team to make your dream home vision come true! ♥️
