The Move Out Process Begins 😔💔

So i have been working on getting my sales and marketing company back up ( Residential Solar & Roofing Sales ) and running over the last few weeks.For those of you that don't know I lost all my reps during covid. I moved to Dallas to open up this market and loved it here. Due to covid I was forced to shut it down, which is when I decided to start Picadera, selling Tres Leches Cupcakes with a mask on delivering them throughout DFW like a madman.

Picadera was such a great journey something new for me and met so many great people along the way but it was more of a passion project then for profit and I loved every moment of it even through its ups and downs but there is only so much someone can handle out of their own pockets, no investors or anything during these tough times.

I am trying to find the perfect balance where I can make both of these work but for the time being I am going to dedicate my time on building a salesforce here again. Once I get back on my feet and depending on how I feel I will once again start to see what I can do with Picadera again. I hope and pray that I can come up with something that works because I truly enjoyed being a part of something that was much bigger then just selling food in Dallas, giving our culture a taste of home and seeing all the happy people because of it is what kept me going. Seeing all the comments and support after announcing our closure just shows me that I cannot just quit on your guys. I do need a break and need to regroup but I hope to be back one day hopefully with something that will make everyone smile again including myself.

After a heartbreaking week I got to get some laughs out with a fellow NY Dominican living his dream in the stand up comedy world!!! 👏🏻🇩🇴

Saludos Mi Gente! WE ARE CLOSED! If you have tried to order we apologize but as much as we tried to keep our Dominican brands alive at the specific concept we are operating out of, it just doesn't make sense to keep going til we finish our lease here which ends on August 8th. We were not dying and waiting around for orders because you guys are fu***ng awesome and kept us busy every single day, but when everyone's hands are in our pockets it's tough to survive. For example being in this Ghost Kitchen 90+% of our orders are coming through delivery platforms like Uber eats, door dash and grub hub, every time you order directly through them they take MINIMUM 30% and most of the time close to 50% of every order and force us to do buy 1 get 1 promos to stay relevant in their algorithms if not they will shadowban us. On top of that the building we have our kitchen at takes another 3% of every single order we do on top of rent, utilities, operating expenses etc. So before we even talk about labor, inventory, marketing etc just to name a few we are already down bad. I have made the decision to shut down and not keep getting in deeper debt. I truly love every single one of you who has been there since day one but I cannot continue sacrificing my well being, my sanity and my finances in something that I spend 16+ hours a day and don't see the fruit of my labor. For now I will be taking a much needed pause in my life to evaluate my next move will be. Which can be completely shutting down this chapter of my life, which I truly will never forget all the good times, memories and people I have met because of picadera, and how many people met because of our events or just taking the time to really think things through and find a location that you guys can enjoy with an area to sit and enjoy your food, have some drinks and dance but that will take some confidence and a lot of money which at this point I'm not sure how that will happen. Until then I am going to try and get my life back together because I cannot continue to give this place 110% of my energy, time and money anymore. From the bottom of my heart I truly love you guys and hope you understand. ❤️
