The Anchor at Bethany

The Anchor will be closed till January 4th.
We will be there Thursday, the 4th from 10-12. Then The Anchors new hours will be Wednesday evenings from 4:30-6 pm.

We have been moving into our new location on the Bethany Christian Church (Dallas) campus. We have had a lot of requests for clothes and have not been able to fully get moved in. Yesterday The Anchor at Bethany was blessed with some amazing help and everything looks wonderful. Just a little more to go. Thank you so much everyone who helped pick clothes for children, sort and organize yesterday! We so appreciate you!

🔘 We do accept limited adult clothing that belonged to a youth.
⭐️ (What does this mean? If it was something a youth previously wore, most likely another youth would like. We do not have room for a lot so we are very picky about the adult clothing we accept.)

The Anchor at Bethany is in need of plastic bins. We try to stick with the same containers as they stack easily and look uniform. Here is the brand we are in need of. You can find that at Walmart you can purchase them also online. We need many!! So if you would like to donate we would truly appreciate them!! They are $6.73 each.

The Twig out stretches it’s loving / giving arms all the way to Paulding County in northern Georgia to keep our children warm in the winter. Today we received a delivery of wonderful warm jackets and we are just overwhelmed with emotions of the generosity to share with The Anchor at Bethany for the children in Paulding County.

I love it when it is laid upon a child’s heart to donate the items they have out grown to someone in need. Recently a family that attends Bethany brought The Anchor at Bethany these items. Included in them were two pairs of tennis shoes. Today a family came to Bethany in need. One of the children had on a pair of rain boots that were about 2 sizes too big and the other had on crocs that appeared to be too small. They were very happy to be the recipients of these two pairs of shoes. The shoes were not at The Anchor for more than a week. In and out! I sent his momma these two photos and she said it made his heart so happy. This little dude is “11!” I can’t show you their happy faces, but I can show you their happy feet!

This little guy came to pick up some clothes from The Anchor at Bethany for Pre-K. He was especially excited about his new Spider-Man shirt and other Spider-man clothing. It’s those smiles that just melt your heart!

Since June 14th, 2021 The Anchor at Bethany has distributed clothing to 75 families. (Each heart represents a family that has picked up clothing)
