Romans 5:1-2 KJV
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: [2] By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

So what faith is this - is it the exercise/expression of faith? No, if it were the exercise or expression of faith, it would mean that we can obtain and/or access grace by works. If we can access it by works, then it is not grace. This is not the exercise or expression of faith, but rather it is the faith that has been gifted to us regardless of the fact that we do not deserve it, which means this faith is a gift of grace or the grace of faith.

So, even though our weekend has not gone as planned (Please, continue to pray for Sister Elaine’s recovery), we are having two worship services today. We have several visiting ministry that have come from as far away as Texas, and we look forward to hearing messages from home that will feed a hungry soul. Our plans are not always God’s plans, but God’s plans are always best!!

Come and worship with us today. The preparations of the meeting house have been made ready. Prepare your heart and come!!

Earlier today, Sister Elaine Halbgewachs went to the eye doctor for some discomfort in her eye. She was referred to a specialist due to suspicions that she had a retina detaching which was confirmed. As a result, she is scheduled for emergency surgery to reattach the retina tomorrow morning. She will then have a follow up appt at 1:30 pm Saturday afternoon.

At this point, I am of a mind to postpone Brother Victor's ordination so he can be there for Sister Elaine. He doesn't need to be prepping for Saturday while she is in surgery and, it just doesn't seem right to have this ordination when Sister Elaine cannot be present.

I know a lot of people have traveled to Georgia for this service, but one thing I have learned over the last year and a half is that we live in a broken and fallen world. Though we may not like it, we have to deal with what is in front of us in the best capacity that we can. Postponement seems the best of all the difficult decisions we could make at this time.

The Dallas Church will still meet for worship on Saturday morning and afternoon with lunch in between. We plan to use the ministry that God blessed us with during these meetings as the Lord leads. We hope and pray that we will honor the Lord in worship and praise. We also hope that if you were planning to come, that you will not change those plans.

We will make an announcement at a later date regarding Brother Victor's ordination.

Lastly, pray for Sister Elaine that surgery goes well.
