Today, we welcomed a very special senior pittie into Hannah’s Southern Paws Rescue. This sweet boy was hit by a car, and as a result, his back legs are currently paralyzed. He was picked up by Mesquite Animal Control and we are incredibly fortunate that an amazing foster stepped up for him, giving us the opportunity to say yes to helping this precious soul.

The vet has informed us that while his bones and spine are miraculously intact, he is suffering from spinal concussion/shock, which has affected his mobility. Although we don’t know yet if he will regain use of his back legs, we are committed to exploring every possible option to help him walk again.

In addition to his spinal injury, he has a concerning open wound, which appears to be an ulcerated growth. We are planning to have this biopsied as soon as possible, and we ask for your prayers that it is not cancerous.

This brave boy has a long road ahead, but we are here for him every step of the way. We are asking for your support to help cover his medical expenses. A donation of just five dollars would go a long way in ensuring he gets the care he needs.

Meet Juniper! An amazing soul found her as she laid there in agony. She was taken to the nearest vet hospital, and it was determined that she needed an amputation on her front right leg due to a severe break.

Here's a little update on Ezra🫶🏼
We're feeling better today, but his little body still has much healing to do.
I held him earlier today and I felt every little muscle relax as he rested comfortably in my arms. I will forever be in amazement of how resilient and loving dogs can be after being failed by humans❤️‍🩹 The love we receive from these babies is a reminder of how forgiving, faithful and kind God is to us.
Today, we are celebrating that Ezra's hydration levels have improved dramatically, he is on a great nutrition plan and he is much more active.

Ezra was found collapsed on someone's porch from heat exhaustion & starvation💔
A sweet volunteer picked him in the middle of the night and held him for us until this morning, and now he begins his road to recovery with Hannah’s Southern Paws Rescue🫶🏼

Royals surgery is this morning & we have raised $140 towards her $1,800 surgery🩵 Please help if you can🙏🏻

We rescued Royal from the shelter a few weeks back after she was needing urgent care for what the vet initially thought was a hematoma. Turns out, it was a nasty abscess in addition to end-stage ear disease. What does this mean? End-stage ear disease in dogs can cause irreversible damage to the ear canal and middle ear, and can lead to pain and hearing loss. It's usually the result of years of chronic infection and can be caused by a number of factors, including otic parasites, hypersensitivity disease, endocrine disease, otic neoplasia, and foreign bodies. In Royals case, her ear canal has become complete occluded(closed off) so no air is able to get through. This will lead to many other complications in her life if left untreated, so we have scheduled a TECA Surgery for her, which essentially means that her ear canal will need to be removed. We had this surgery scheduled a few short days after we rescued Royal, but she began showing symptoms of an upper respiratory infection the day after she came from the shelter, so we had to postpone it until she was well. She has now overcome the infection, and is scheduled to have her TECA this **Friday, July 19th at our vet. This surgery is expensive but necessary for Royal to live a healthy, long life. The cost be around $1,800(estimate posted below). We really need your support to help us with the cost of this surgery🫶🏼

This handsome gentleman is Ender🩵
He is currently at Sunnyvale Animal Shelter and is looking for a forever family. I had the pleasure of spending some time with Ender yesterday at an adoption event, and he was extremely well behaved! He is pretty calm and unbothered, I believe he would do well in a home where he can take lots of naps on the couch 🛋️ Unfortunately, he didn't get much attention at the adoption event because he isn't a tiny puppy😔 But he is such an amazing dog that deserves all of the same love and snuggles as a puppy does🫶🏼
