There is no question that single-use plastics are an issue. This is especially true around the holidays. In the United States alone, there is a 25% increase in waste between Thanksgiving and the New Year, and a lot of that is plastic. Avoid using synthetic décor and bows, and opt for natural twine, real pine cones, etc., in their place. You can also save and reuse the bows and decor you already have.

During the holiday season, it is estimated that we use between 8 and 10 tons of single-use paper products, including wrapping paper, cards, and shopping bags, which eventually end up in landfills. In addition to increased waste, this increase in use requires an increase in manufacturing and production, which causes a significant rise in carbon emissions.

We can address this by using less wrapping paper or using only recycled paper. Another way to reduce paper consumption is to send e-cards instead of paper cards.

Transcend Solutions recently completed the fabrication of three high-efficiency aerosol separators for a large midstream gas processor in West Texas. These separators provide the foundation for stable, efficient plant operations and protect their process from contamination, ensuring their product gas meets the highest quality standards at the pipeline transmission point. The vessels will be installed in a 300MMSCFD natural gas processing facility. This package includes an amine inlet separator and a TEG inlet separator, which protect the amine treating system and the glycol dehydration systems from contaminants that might otherwise contribute to foaming, fouling, and production constraints. The final solution is a residue gas coalescer, which prevents l**e oil from compression from contaminating downstream pipelines and custody transfer meters.
