Our team joined architects from the Corgan Inc. Education Studio for a tour of the Rockwall ISD Ninth Grade Center North, currently under construction. The primary objective for the site walk was to showcase the interplay of different structural systems with the architectural finishes before the structure becomes mostly concealed. This expansive campus spans 185,000 square feet across two levels with several large trusses creating a 115’ by 110’ column free entry and cafeteria volume. Corgan’s approach was meticulously crafted with a focus on adaptability, ensuring that the sites can be seamlessly transitioned into full high schools in the years to come.

What a delight it was to have Ann Piazza, Principal Emeritus of L.A. Fuess Partners, representing us at the Dallas Architecture Forum Panel Discussion last night on the topic of "Women Engineers Shaping the Built Environment." Ann shared her inspiring journey along with two other remarkable women who have blazed trails in leadership within the engineering profession.

Another project is off and running! We attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Center for Transforming Lives Riverside Campus, a project in collaboration with Bennett Partners and Linbeck Group, LLC.

The Center for Transforming Lives works side-by-side with women and their children throughout Tarrant County to disrupt the cycle of poverty by providing comprehensive services, early childhood education, economic mobility services, and clinical counseling.

Happy Steel Days! It's the first day of a week-long celebration of the steel industry and all the people who design and build America's future. We are proud to have been a part of so many great projects featuring steel. Here are some of those steel designs in action.

Clays crushed, BBQ devoured, and scholarships funded at the AIA Fort Worth ACME Brick Sporting Blay Classic & BBQ Showdown! This annual event has funded multiple scholarship endowments and provided stipends to The University of Texas at Arlington's AIA Student Chapter, Tarrant County College's scholarship fund, and AIA Fort Worth's student design award scholarships. It was an honor to compete and support a great cause; Thank you to the organizers and sponsors for making this event one of our favorite events of the year! We can't wait for next year!

We had a fantastic time connecting with our friends and colleagues in the education community at the A4LE North Texas Chapter's annual golf tournament in Carrollton.

On Wednesday, Chris Boothe delivered an engaging presentation showcasing Domain Block C, a project designed in collaboration with BOKA Powell and Michael Hsu Office of Architecture during an AEI meeting at the Cockrell School of Engineering - UT Austin.

We enjoyed our experience at the ULI Dallas-Fort Worth Pickleball Showdown for Scholarships, a fantastic event dedicated to supporting the Building Industry Leaders (BIL) Program. The excitement and camaraderie among participants made for a truly memorable time, all while contributing to a meaningful cause that fosters future leaders in the construction industry.
