We are excited to announce our newest AllerVie Health partner, Allergy & Asthma Centre of NW Florida, with an office in Pensacola, Florida! This partnership will allow us to extend the AllerVie Health network of care and our premier service offerings, for both children and adults, to even more patients in Florida.

Before starting his practice in Pensacola, Dr. Thomas Westbrook completed a fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center and completed 12 years of active military duty service before retiring from the U.S. Navy Reserves.

Love - Hope - Resilience

Today marks the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 – the greatest unifying moment our country has known in recent history as well as the darkest. Together, twenty years ago, an entire nation watched the skies over New York darken as we experienced a terrorist attack on American soil that would mark us forever.

And on this 20th Anniversary, we pause to remember both the American lives lost in the attacks and the men and women who bravely stepped forward as heroes. The best of our people rushed toward the Twin Towers to render aid to our fellow Americans – images that will forever be burned into our memories.

As we pause to reflect on this iconic and pivotal day in American history, let us all look to one another, seeking out the good and the ties that bind us together, as citizens of this incredible United States of America.

The first Labor Day was celebrated on Sept. 5, 1882, in New York City, and it was declared a national holiday in 1894, as tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. Labor Day is a well-deserved tribute for those who work so hard. No matter what kind of work you do, Labor Day is for you.

As a reminder, our offices will be closed today, September 6th in observation of Labor Day.

We are excited to announce our newest AllerVie Health partner, Virginia Allergy and Asthma Center, with locations in Henrico and North Chesterfield (Midlothian), Virginia! This expansion will allow us to extend the AllerVie Health network of care and our premier service offerings, for both children and adults, to even more patients.

Dr. Joseph Vilseck originally founded Virginia Allergy and Pulmonary Associates (VAPA) in 1975 and, under his leadership, successfully led it to become known as the largest allergy practice in Southeast Virginia. After his successful start with VAPA, he founded Virginia Allergy & Asthma Center in 2007, where he continues to provide exceptional medical care to his patients and positively change their lives!

We are excited to announce a new AllerVie Health partner, Dr. Larry L. Castillo, of Allergy & Asthma Care Centre, with offices in Cape Coral and Fort Myers, Florida! This partnership allows us to strengthen our network of care and premiere allergy and asthma services in Florida.

Dr. Castillo (also known as Dr. Larry) has been established in Allergy & Asthma Care Centre since 1997. In addition to providing quality care to his patients, he serves as a diplomat of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, appears in monthly television allergy segments with local television stations, and is a recipient of the Von Pirquet Research Grant.

Chlorine allergy: fact or fiction?

This partnership continues our plan to densify our AllerVie Health network of care in the state. We look forward to serving additional patients throughout Alabama and welcome Dr. Kalenian and his team into AllerVie Health!

Dr. Kalenian and his team have been serving patients across Southeast Alabama since 1998. Dr. Mark H. Kalenian graduated from Hahnemann Medical College in 1985, completed a residency there in Internal Medicine in 1988, and completed his fellowship in Allergy, Asthma & Immunology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. He also served as a Captain and Internist in the Army from 1988-1992, was interim Chief of Internal Medicine while stationed at Lyster Army Hospital at Ft. Rucker, is a decorated veteran of Desert Storm, and was past President of the Alabama Society of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. He has been practicing in his specialty since 1996, and is licensed in Alabama, Florida & Georgia.

Dr. Kalenian and his team will continue to see patients in the Dothan office and will be relocating their Enterprise clinic into our new AllerVie Enterprise location.

We will begin seeing their patients in our Enterprise office on September 7, 2021! More information will be coming soon with details about the Enterprise office relocation, and we are so excited for this partnership and the opportunity to serve patients in our beautiful, brand new clinic.

He is very active in committees for the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Outside of medicine, he is active in his church and enjoys time with his wife and children.

Dr. Meadows began his practice in 1991 choosing to locate in Montgomery where his wife was raised. His mission is to educate his patients about the causes of coughing and allergic illnesses and to teach his patients that they can lead a symptom-free life. He believes in treating and solving problems with a minimum of expense and trouble to the patient.
