The Texas Pinball Festival is THIS WEEKEND in FRISCO, TEXAS! It's a super cool pinball event, expected to feature more than FIVE HUNDRED pinball machines on free play!

If you check it out, find a few of our plants in the NTX Pinball booth, located outside the seminar room. You don't need a paid festival entry to check out the booth and see our plants.

Check back on our page later this week - we will make a post featuring the plants we plan to bring to the festival, and offer you a chance to win one!

Hello Everyone!

Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted about Plants & Pinball. I've been very busy but I plan to fix that!

I'll be repotting a snake plant next week, and will share a video of it for you to see. In the meantime, here's a fascinating article about the sounds plants make. I can definitely say after reading it that I learned something new today! Check it out - you can even hear the sounds emitted by a 🍅 plant! 😎

Plants need water to grow!

Here's an Aloe Barbadensis, which has grown several pups. Aside from needing some water, it seems to have gotten mixed up with a plastic from Diner describing the grill bonus. OOPS! 😝

It got me thinking - can you GRILL aloe? The answer is... Apparently so! 🤯 COOL! Here is a recipe for stir fry aloe. 😎

WOW! District 82 Pinball Arcade is SUCH an awesome place to play pinball!

Even if you've never played, it is still A MUST SEE showcasing of popping bumpers, flashy lights, and artwork through the past and present. Add it as a stop on your list if you're ever in the Green Bay Packers neck of the woods!

While you're there, you may also find the Greenbay Gardens a worthy destination too! At almost 47 acres, its lush botanical gardens and inspiring architecture, on the site known formally as Larsen Orchard, are a great deal for just $12!

Even in the DFW Airport, on my way to District 82 Pinball Arcade, I can appreciate a cool plant or two.

Not sure on the first plant - kinda looks like a monstera but i dont think so. The 2nd picture is a Dracaena massangeana (AKA Corn Plant). I have one of these in my living room and it is almost dead. Not sure why I failed so badly to keep it alive, but alas, here is one thriving!

What a great time I am having at Cactus Jacks Family Fun Center in Oklahoma City! Terrific lineup of games! Here for a critical hit tournament. 44 players and looks like I made A division finals! Woohoo 😬

I loved listening to Queen, especially We Will Rock You and Another One Bites The Dust, as a youngster, so I am sure this will be a really fun pinball machine to play!

They say that classical and jazz music can help plants grow, but interestingly, plants do not seem to like rock music. I guess the plants better stay away from this pinball machine! 😅

Have a look at this beautiful Tradescantia Nanouk (aka Bubblegum) I recently repotted into this colorful metal bucket. Yes this is a REAL plant and yes it looks even more amazing in person!

The leaves are purple underneath and white and green on top with some of the purple showing through.

I really enjoy watching this plant grow! 😍

Aloe Barbadensis (aka "True Aloe") is one of the easiest houseplants to maintain. Great for your skin, and interesting to look at too. Believe it or not, there are around 250 different species of aloe plants.

Also pictured is a Golden Pothos inside of a very cool wicker frog plant. In front of the frog is a box of parts from Pinball Life ! I ordered these parts at 12:10 PM on Tuesday, and they were delivered at 10:33 AM Wednesday. WOW, GREAT JOB Margret and team!

Here is a beauty sitting on top of our 1980 ALIEN Poker pinball machine! ❤️

This particular variety, Calathea Roseopicta, is native to northwest Brazil. It can be difficult to care for. Distilled water is recommended, along with lots of humidity.

It appears it was recently reclassified as Goeppertia Roseopicta.
