Digital Skyrocket

I feel like 90% of tech product websites come out hot with two letters that have become quite the annoyance to me: AI.

AI is not a benefit. It’s a tool that allows beneficial things to happen.

Here’s one of what feels like endless “for instances.”

Leading up to today’s Apple WWDC, I came across a number of comments from Tech news sources that were something to the effect of, “Apple risks irrelevance if they don’t step up their AI game.” Such warnings mean absolutely nothing to anyone. Why not say, “Apple better make Siri a lot less dumb so that iPhone users get A, B, and C?” The latter means something to people. The former does not. In the end, I wish companies would stop saying, “Hey, look! We have AI,” and instead tell us how their products make our lives a little better.

“And Jesus answered them, ‘Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance’” (Luke 5:31–32).

Jesus did not come into the world to save the people who think they’re good enough to earn fellowship with God. He came into the world to save the sinners who, knowing they’re not good enough for God, feel their need of Jesus. His grace. His mercy. His forgiveness. Through His life, His death, and His resurrection.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28–30).
