As we gather with loved ones and colleagues this Thanksgiving, it is a time to pause and appreciate the many blessings, we share. Oishii Restaurants is deeply grateful for our amazing team and the steadfast support from our clients, who are truly the foundation of our achievements. Cheers to a warm and joy-filled Thanksgiving for you and your loved ones. 🦃🍁

We will be closed on Thursday, November 23rd so that we can celebrate Thanksgiving with our families, reopening at 5 PM Friday, November 24th. We’ll see you for dinner, after all of your Black Friday shopping!

Oishii Dallas at SMU Blvd will be closed Tuesday & Wednesday, August 15th – 16th. Resuming regular hours, opening for lunch Thursday. August 17th at 11 AM. While we won’t be able to serve you at this location during that time, we invite you to visit our other locations, Oishii Dallas Oishii Plano or our sister restaurant, LaVui Vietnamese Restaurant (which also features several sushi favorites from Oishii).

Until then, we look forward to serving you at our other locations , as well as at our sister restaurant, which offers delicious Vietnamese cuisine and we also feature a selection of Oishii sushi favorites in a casual setting.

Vine?🍇 Well, great things do come from vines, and the first thing that comes to mind is vino! Don’t be afraid to pair a variety of wines with your food, perhaps start with a light Chablis, migrate to an oaky Chardonnay. And dare we suggest moving further down the wine list to a lighter red, maybe even a medium bodied red, or just be extra daring and go bold! Yes, we dare you! 🍷

All this symbolism aside, Chef strives to provide every guest with a wonderful dining experience, each and every time. You may order the same thing every time, or you may opt to try something new. “O” – is for OG. Wycliff is where it all started. 20 years ago, from a dream, a vision. And Oishii #1 was born. 🥇
FBNFP (Funny But Necessary Fine Print): Ok ok, the “O” does stand for Oishii – but it also stands for OG. Original, Oishii is often imitated, but never duplicated. Each of our locations have a uniqueness about them, some with a patio, some without, however, what stays constant is heart of Chef and the team.

Chef experiments with so many different flavors, and when you peel back each layer of his unique creations, it is just like a concerto, where the fish is like a soloist 🎻accompanied by an orchestra of tasty ingredients like truffle oil, avocado and crab. Chef is the Maestro of this sushi symphony, let him guide you to the finale! 🎼
FBNFP (Funny But Necessary Fine Print): Peeling back layers of flavors may be quite difficult when each piece of sushi is meant to be enjoyed in a single bite but think of it as letting your palate identify each of the different flavors and then marrying them together on your palate. WOW!

Sakura is such a lovely time of year when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Cherry Blossoms come in a variety of color but at Oishii, we see blue and orange, because we want to be unique, and unique as Chef. 🌸
FBNFP (Funny But Necessary Fine Print): Certainly, orange and blue cherry blossoms don’t exist, but to Oishii they represent uniqueness, we’re atypical, because who wants be like everyone else? We strive to be different! Chef’s imagination is always blooming with new ideas and innovative flavor pairings, and guess what? New blooms are just around the corner.

2023, aligns with the fourth animal of the Asian Zodiac, however, it’s special, because it’s shared amongst two animals, for the Vietnamese, it’s the year of the cat, for the Chinese, it’s the year of the rabbit. The most important whether you celebrate either the cat 🐱 or the rabbit 🐰– we know 2023 will bring something wonderful…👏

If you could only have one bite, this one is the one that counts! Oishii’s Tuna & Watermelon Salad is as refreshing as it sounds, made with said tuna and watermelon, with a little of Chef’s magic touch and concoction of flavors, and who doesn’t like edible flowers? It’s art that you can eat!
FBNFP: Can we have an Amen?! YESSSSS INDEED - THIS IS ON THE MENU! Order it for the table to share, or just for you, yourself, and youuuuuu (trust us, we won’t judge!) just order two – one for the table to share and for you (not to share!) We’re kidding, family style is always encouraged for you to try a bit of everything, and navigate your way through our Chef’s Specialty menu where Chef showcases some of his best symphony of flavors and turns sushi into an art that you can eat!
