River Oaks Food Pantry

I love animals, and at the River Oaks Food Pantry, we are so thankful that Don't Forget to Feed Me provides our dog and cat food without charge, and has for over a year. This saves us $7200 a year in pet food costs that we pour into groceries for our clients. We would've not survived as a food panty with the 2023 increase in need without their help. We are SO THANKFUL! We are very committed to feeding the dogs and cats of our clients, and so thankful for this organization helping us at no cost.

New clients or renewals: Bring your picture ID and proof of where you live (water bill, lease, internet bill) and park in the church parking lot. You will be admitted in order you arrived beginning 15 minutes prior to the pantry opening.

We will be open Wednesday, July 3rd, 8:30-10 am or until 80 families are fed.
We have enough food for 80 families.

No parking or lines around the property before 8 am- strictly enforced. Violators will be denied service.

Need to renew or register? Do not get in the car line; park in the church lot and get in line to enter our tiny building at 8:15.
Bring your picture ID and proof of where you live with a bill or piece of mail.

These beautiful people helped refill all our freezers today after completely emptying them yesterday. I insisted we take the picture around Ralph Cano’s Thunderbird! FRIENDS - this is a rare month when the 1st Thursday and 2nd Saturday are only 1 day a part from each other. We must defer to the 3rd Saturday on these months to have time to fill the pantry with food. WE WILL BE OPEN SATURDAY, JUNE 15 9-10 am.

We served 89 families/430 people today. We did this in between 8:30-10:00 am today! MY TEAM IS SIMPLY AMAZING!

Our pastor Samuel Macias and his lovely wife, Sabi, joined us in the shade of the tent to meet and greet. He's an AMAZING pastor! We have services in English at 10:00 am, and Spanish at 11:30.

We are NOT open this Thursday as it is a 5th Thursday.

Hi friends! Just a reminder that May has a 5th Thursday, so we are closed this Thursday. After looking at the statistics in 2022, we didn't serve more people by being open 5x in one month - it just spread the same amount of people over 5 days instead of 4. These "5th Thursdays" give us time to do maintenance on our little pantry and also to give volunteers a break.

There are 14 people inside and 2 outside everytime we open. This is how we put food in cars ever 75 seconds.

The unload crew is a completely different set of folks who help unload and stock at least a ton of food each week. Having a 5th week off every 3 months or so gives everyone a needed break to rest.

We will be open Jun 6, 20, 27 8:30-10:00 am, and June 15, 9-10 am. Renewals and new registration begins 15 minutes before opening. Bring picture ID and proof of residence in the form of a bill that has your name and address. The zip codes we serve are listed in our info.

Want to become part of the volunteer team? Meet us at the pantry on TUESDAY, MAY 7 at 8:00 am to help unload and stock the shelves. General physical health must be good with ability to pick up at least 10 pounds.

Happy First Thursday of May! This year is going so fast!

We switched to summer hours today - 8:30-10:00 am - and served 79 families by in 85 minutes! The ROFP TEAM IS AH-MAZING!!!! There are 16 people inside that little building making it all happen, y'all. I'm so thankful for them! Our clients were incredible and did not line up before 8:00 am. THANK YOU!

We went to Moe's after we closed for some good comfort food and were NOT disappointed! WOW! Shout out to Moe's and our server who was incredible. All of our food was piping hot and delish!

We'll be open again Saturday, May 11, from 9-10 am. New client / renewals begin at 8:45.
