Running your photography business can be so scary. Especially when you raise your prices and you start getting crickets. It is tempting to go back to our old pricing or worse…lower! The struggle is real and we all go through these doubts in our business. Can you relate?

I love senior portraits. I’m thankful to have clients who support my business, tell their friends, and continue the cycle. I’ve been specializing in senior portraits for 8 years now and I still find so much joy in helping seniors get comfortable in front of the camera and create stunning portraits like this one.

..and just like that we have a two year old. Time is flying by and everyday has been a joy watching this little guy grow. He is learning so much each and every day. It blows us away. Teddy Rey is full of love and laughter right now which is so fun to witness. Kate and I are oh so thankful for this little boy. We can’t imagine life without him. Happy Birthday Teddy Rey. Mama and Dada love you mucho y mucho.

What’s the biggest challenge you have had to overcome so far this year? I want to know!

During outdoor sessions I love to finding spots that compliment the colors my clients are wearing. I love searching for those colors and sometimes they lead you in the most unexpected spots…..like a trash can blockade. Work with what ya got! 😎

What a ride it has been so far being the new owner of foto . It was been exciting, terrifying, exhausting….all the things. Ultimately it is such an honor to own such a wonderful company and I am thankful to have a supportive team to help accomplish all the dreams we have for the company. Moving to a new city and then going into a pandemic is not the best business move, hah. I am thankful for a wife that loves/supports my work and connects me with her Denton community. I am looking forward to shooting more Denton seniors as I grow in my new home. I’m still shooting in the DFW metroplex but it’s nice when people are a little closer to home 🤓

One of my all time favorite photos of my wife during her pregnancy. She is beautiful inside and out and she brought into this world our little Teddy Rey. We didn’t know if we were having a boy or a girl before he was born and I (not so) secretly was hoping for a girl but now that he is with us I simply can’t imagine a world without him. Funny how that happens, huh?

I’m back from which was in Lexington, KY this year. I had a blast speaking this year and it was a great reminder on how much I missed teaching fellow photographers and being around PEOPLE again. If you are a photographer looking for your next conference please check out Reset! You won’t be sorry.

Just finished my time at and am coming back with huge encouragements from fellow photographers. It was such a pleasure sharing my love for high school senior work and hope everyone left inspired and ready to grow their senior business!

How have I not shared my love for ! She reached for portraits just because and I couldn’t have been more excited to just take pictures for fun!! You are amazing Autumn and can’t wait to do this again.

The time has officially come that I can share news I’ve been looking forward to share with you for months now. I’m happy to announce that I am the new steward of FOTO . This couldn’t have happened without the trust of the original owner Katie. It is incredibly humbling to have even been considered for such an important brand. My job is to continue the heart of the company and help push the Foto community to be its best! We are all storytellers and can’t wait for the rest of this story to unfold. Fall is the most popular time for senior sessions and I am all for it! Huge thanks to for taking care of my clients and giving them the best experience. studio is amazing and has this beautiful wall to use for portraits. I’m introverted. Don’t enjoy large crowds. You know the type…Hah. So large concerts/festivals like the doesn’t really have the largest appeal to me. But I do enjoy watching people in attendance and I do enjoy watching how fashion plays a big part of . I met up with after the to show of some of her from the festival. Here is her day one outfit!
