This package offers two round-trip tickets to Mexico for a visit to the Casa Maestri Tequila Distillery. You’ll be flown to Guadalajara, Jalisco, for a weekend getaway. The highlight of this package is a VIP tour and tasting at the Casa Maestri Distillery, which produces more than 180 brands of tequila. There, you’ll learn all about tequila production and try some of the unique blends they are working on for future projects. His visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to social responsibility have transformed lives and communities, leaving an indelible mark of hope and compassion.

Steven’s philanthropic spirit extends far beyond DIFFA Dallas, as he proudly champions numerous causes, including CenterLink, Resource Center of Dallas, and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

Meet Reverend Dr. Neil G. Thomas, the 2023/24 recipient of the Legend in the Fight Against AIDS Award.

As the Senior Pastor of Cathedral of Hope of Dallas, Reverend Dr. Neil Thomas has dedicated his life to serving and advocating for the LGBTQ+ community and those affected by HIV/AIDS. With a career spanning decades and continents, Dr. Thomas has been a beacon of hope and compassion, using his platform to address issues of faith, diversity, and social justice. From his leadership within Metropolitan Community Churches to his role as a sought-after speaker and contributor to local and international conversations, Dr. Thomas has exemplified unwavering commitment and courage.

His legacy of love and service continues to inspire us all. We’re honored to recognize his extraordinary contributions at House of DIFFA: Royalty Untamed.

🏆 The Donna Fishel Community Hero Award is awarded to an individual in the community who has made contributions to helping those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS through support of North Texas AIDS Service Organizations (ASO’s).

Meet Steven Pace, the 2023/24 recipient of the Donna Fishel Community Hero Award.

Steven Pace has spent over 41 years of his life dedicated to serving and advocating for people living with HIV/AIDS. Beginning his commitment as a young minister with Metropolitan Community Church of Dallas, Steven offered solace and ministerial support to the first recorded person with AIDS in Dallas. Over the years, he played a pivotal role in establishing organizations like AIDS Interfaith Network (AIN), now Access and Information Network, and helped create essential resources like the Resource Center’s Food Pantry. As CEO of AIN for 27 years, Steven provided leadership that evolved AIN into one of the most comprehensive HIV/AIDS service organizations in North Texas.

His tireless advocacy and leadership have made a profound impact on countless lives, embodying the spirit of compassion and service. We’re proud to honor his remarkable contributions.

🏆 The Excellence in Design Award recognizes individuals who have excelled in various design fields and supported DIFFA Dallas over the years.

Meet Keith Carlisle, the 2023/24 recipient of the Excellence in Design Award.

Having grown up on a farm and ranch in West Texas, .carlisle eventually found his career in the men’s apparel field. Making Dallas home since graduation from Texas Tech University, Keith has held several positions with local, national, and international retailers.
After a 10-year stint learning the business at Murray’s of Dallas Menswear, he was recruited by Beylerian of Paris Menswear to open their first United States store in Dallas. 10 years later, he was recruited by Stanley Korshak to buy and sell menswear. Next, Keith joined Neiman Marcus store #1, Downtown Dallas, to manage The Men’s Store. Later, he rejoined Stanley Korshak as the mens clothing buyer and eventually was promoted to Divisional Merchandise Manager for Menswear.
Every year this event has been held, since 1990, Keith has re-envisioned a denim jacket or other item for House of DIFFA. Tonight, his DIFFA Dallas Jacket Design #32 is included in the Luxury Jacket Collection.
In 2013, Keith was honored by DIFFA Dallas with the “Legend in the Fight Against AIDS” award for continued fund raising and, of course, the many years of jacket designs.
“It has always been a labor of love for me, and after losing my late partner, John Moran, in 1998, the continued design of jackets has been even more compelling. I will keep designing jackets every year I am invited to, because our mission supporting people living with HIV/AIDS continues.”
