Did you know that the King of Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis Presley, served in the U.S. Army?
In 1958, Elvis put his booming music career on hold to answer the call of duty. He served as a regular soldier in Germany, earning respect and admiration for his dedication and humility. During his time in the military, Elvis formed bonds with fellow soldiers and even met his future wife, Priscilla.
At Valor Healthcare, we honor the legacy of all veterans, including those who have made a significant impact both in and out of uniform. Thank you to all who serve!
**Summer Health Tip from Valor Healthcare!**
As we enjoy the sunny days, it’s crucial to remember the importance of sun safety! Protect your skin and stay safe with these sun screen tips:
**Apply Broad-Spectrum Sunscreen: Choose a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and apply it generously on all exposed skin. Don’t forget often-missed spots like the ears, back of the neck, and tops of feet.
**Reapply Regularly: Sunscreen wears off, especially if you’re swimming or sweating. Reapply every two hours, and immediately after swimming or excessive sweating.
**Wear Protective Clothing: Hats, sunglasses, and long-sleeved shirts can provide additional protection. Look for clothing with built-in UV protection for added safety.
**Seek Shade: The sun’s rays are strongest between 10 AM and 4 PM. Try to stay in the shade during these hours to minimize your risk of sunburn.
Enjoy the summer safely with these simple tips! Your skin will thank you.

If you or a loved one is dealing with PTSD, remember that you're not alone. Together, we can break the stigma and foster a community of healing and hope.
Join us in spreading awareness and showing our veterans that we have their backs—today and always.
At Valor Healthcare, we're all about appreciating our incredible providers! One of our veterans at the Granbury CBOC, with the help of AI, wrote a song for Dr. Novak in appreciation of his amazing work. We might be biased, but we think it's a banger! Give it a listen!

Today, we honor Juneteenth, also known as Emancipation Day or Freedom Day. On June 19, 1865, General Gordon Granger's arrival in Galveston, Texas, marked a significant turning point in American history by proclaiming the end of slavery and the emancipation of enslaved African Americans.
As we reflect on this pivotal moment, we celebrate the strides made towards equality and justice. Yet, we also recognize the ongoing journey and the work that still lies ahead. Let’s continue to champion diversity, uplift marginalized voices, and strive for a more just and inclusive society.
Join us in commemorating this day with reflection, education, and a commitment to unity.

On this Memorial Day, Valor Healthcare invites you to join us in honoring the fallen heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. While many celebrate with barbeques and pool parties, it's important to take a moment and remember the true meaning of this day.
Originally called "Decoration Day" in 1868, Memorial Day was created to honor the fallen without commemorating any specific battle. Today, the poppy remains a powerful symbol of remembrance, inspired by the WWI poem "In Flanders Fields."
Take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices of our military personnel. Let’s remember their bravery and honor their legacy.
Wishing you a safe holiday and a day of meaningful remembrance. They will never be forgotten.
We're excited to introduce our new Chief Operating Officer, Christopher Sandles! Check out the video below as Chris shares his vision and strategic plans for the future of Valor Healthcare. Today, we honor a true American hero on . Before he broke barriers in baseball, Jackie Robinson served as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army during WWII, paving the way for equality both on and off the field.
From 1942 to 1944, Robinson was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas, where he faced racial discrimination and inequality. However, he never let that hinder his dedication to duty and commitment to the ideals of justice and equality.
