๐ธ: After complications from , Mr. Frazier, a newlywed, went to a local emergency room. While in the emergency room, he suffered respiratory failure and was placed on a ventilator.
When Mr. Frazier transitioned to Cornerstone for the next step in his recovery, he remained on the ventilator. Upon evaluation, his mobility was limited, but he could stand for the first time since his hospitalization.
As part of a personalized care plan led by our physicians, respiratory, rehabilitation, and nursing team members, Mr. Frazier began to rebuild his life. He was weaned from the ventilator and tracheostomy tube and could breathe independently again! Alongside this progress, Mr. Frazier worked with our speech therapy team to eat again. Mr. Frazier continued to rebuild his endurance and could walk short distances without a rolling walker! In less than a month, Mr. Frazier was discharged home!
Recently, Mr. and Mrs. Frazier visited our hospital to share an update on his progress and express gratitude to those who left an everlasting impact on their lives.

Amber collaborates with the patient, their loved ones, and fellow team members to ensure nutrition is vital to a patient's care plan. ๐ธ: After gastrointestinal complications, Ms. Holladay transitioned to our hospital for the next step in her care.
When she arrived, she required a high flow of oxygen to support her breathing, moderate assistance for mobility, and could only walk short distances.
Under the guidance of our nursing, respiratory, and rehabilitation team members, Ms. Holladay followed a personalized plan to rebuild her life. Her oxygen levels improved, empowering her to walk over 300 feet with a rolling walker. We're honored to make a difference for Ms. Holladay and help her to return home to her family!

๐ธ: After a polymicrobial wound infection requiring a partial left foot amputation, Mr. Alvarado transitioned to our hospital to continue his recovery.
When Mr. Alvarado arrived, he required assistance to transfer from his hospital bed and to walk without placing weight on his left foot. With guidance from our team, Mr. Alvarado followed a personalized treatment plan to rebuild his life.
As part of this plan, Mr. Alvarado received wound care and medication management to heal his infection. Alongside this progress, Mr. Alvarado's mobility improved, empowering him to regain independence with self-care activities and follow weight-bearing restrictions for his left foot.
Mr. Alvarado, a The Kansas City Chiefs fan, worked hard to accomplish his goals. In a hospital surrounded by Dallas Cowboys fans, Mr. Alvarado and his wife were excited to cheer on the Chiefs together during the Super Bowl! We're so thankful to for Mr. Alvarado and wish him the best at home with his family!

๐ฅ: After a diagnosis, Mr. Boyls, a software engineer, developed respiratory failure. He spent six weeks in an intensive care unit before transitioning to Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals for the next step in his recovery.
When Mr. Boyls arrived at our hospital, he required a tracheostomy tube to support his breathing and a feeding tube to meet his nutritional needs. Mr. Boyls relied on our rehabilitation team to provide maximum assistance for his mobility needs, including sitting on his hospital bed.
As part of a personalized care plan, Mr. Boyls worked closely with our respiratory, rehabilitation, and nursing team members to accomplish his goals. With this commitment and Mr. Boyls' perseverance, he was weaned from the tracheostomy tube, and his mobility improved, empowering him to move from his hospital bed with standby assistance. Alongside this progress, Mr. Boyls began a modified diet of foods. With these accomplishments, Mr. Boyls was discharged to inpatient rehabilitation.
Recently, Mr. Boyls visited our hospital to express gratitude for those who impacted his life. He shared that he is now home with his family and walking six miles without assistance. We're inspired by Mr. Boyls and honored to make a difference in his life!

When Mrs. Cannon arrived, she couldnโt walk and struggled to complete self-care activities. During her evaluation, Mrs. Cannon shared that she hoped to regain her independence and return home. With support from our team, Mrs. Cannonโs personalized care plan was tailored to this goal.
Mrs. Cannonโs commitment to this plan was a success! With guidance from our team, Mrs. Cannon rebuilt her strength and could complete self-care activities and walk 150 feet with a rolling walker. Alongside this progress, Mrs. Cannon was prepared to step up and down the stairs in her home. Weโre honored to make a difference for Mrs. Cannon!
When Ms. Schroeder began to develop a headache and a sinus infection, she was taken to the emergency room. While there, she was diagnosed with respiratory failure and was bleeding in the space between her brain and the tissue covering her brain. When she transitioned to Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Southeast Arizona, Ms. Schroeder was on a ventilator. She relied on our rehabilitation team for all her mobility needs and struggled to transfer from her hospital bed.
As part of a personalized care plan, Ms. Schroeder worked with our respiratory, rehabilitation, and nursing team members to accomplish her goals.
As a result of Ms. Schroeder's perseverance and our team's commitment to quality care, Ms. Schroeder began to improve! She was weaned from the ventilator and could transfer from her hospital bed with minimum assistance. Alongside this progress, Ms. Schroeder could walk up to 50 feet with a front-wheeled walker!
We're honored to make a difference for Ms. Schroeder and wish her the best as she continues her journey in inpatient rehabilitation! ๐

๐ธ: After complications from a gastrointestinal bleed and a heart attack, Mr. Keller transitioned to Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals for the next step in his recovery.
When he arrived at Cornerstone, Mr. Keller, who served as the primary caregiver for a loved one before his hospitalization, was on the ventilator and couldn't move without total assistance from two team members.
Despite this adversity, Mr. Keller remained determined to follow his personalized plan with a positive outlook. This commitment to results worked! With guidance from our rehabilitation team, Mr. Keller's mobility improved. He could move from his hospital bed to the edge of the bed with support from one team member. Alongside this progress, our respiratory therapists weaned Mr. Keller from the ventilator, empowering him to breathe independently again!
Mr. Keller was discharged to inpatient rehabilitation to continue his recovery, with the ultimate goal of returning home.
When Mr. Keller visited our team, he shared that he had accomplished this goal! We're honored to make a difference for Mr. Keller and thankful he is home for the holidays with his family!

When she arrived, Ms. Rangel could transfer from her hospital bed and walk with standby assistance. Although her personalized care plan was challenging, Ms. Rangel was determined to accomplish her goals and return home before the holidays!
With dedication from our nursing and rehabilitation team, Ms. Rangel achieved her goals! She could walk over 300 feet with the use of a rolling walker. We're honored to help Ms. Rangel return home for the holidays with her loved ones!
