Saturday (9/30/2023) will be the final day of my exhibit at the Missouri Department of Conservation Nature Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. If you haven't seen it yet, please come early because I have to take it down by 5:00 PM.

Images for my one-man show have been hung at the Nature Center in Cape Girardeau. I am hoping for a big turnout from all of my friends in the area. Additionally, I will be there every Saturday during September to meet the public and to discuss my photography. PLEASE SHARE THIS.

My great-grandmother, Minnie Estelle Lewallen Ward probably painted this tiger on a moonlit stroll in the 1950s. She gave it to one of her favorite nephews, B. F. Holmes. B. F.'s daughter was kind enough to give it to me after her delightful mother passed at the age of 103. The painting required a lot of restoration, but it now holds pride of place on a wall in my house along with other paintings by Minnie.

Altogether there are 25 images, mostly from the Ozarks of southern Missouri plus one from Texas and one from Ireland. Canapes, desserts, and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. This is a photo of my grandfather's farmhouse reflected in Fulton Spring. In the upper right of the spring you can see a pipe in the water that led to a hand pump in the house to provide water. I have added another facet to my photography business -- photo safaris. The inaugural excursion was on April 30, 2022 to Blue Spring on the Current River. Mike and Joyanne Bates are my first patrons. The weather forecast was daunting but the trip definitely surpassed my expectations.
