Are you ready? It's time. We’ve decided that moving forward, we’re doing vintages. This batch is officially Batch 2023. In this batch, the Treaty Oak Distilling whiskey is a bit older and blends beautifully with the Ironroot Republic Distillery, Balcones Distilling, and Lone Elm Whiskey. Increasingly, we are becoming big fans of the blending of pot still and column still whiskey. The way they complement each other is extraordinary, bettering each other while at the same time not overpowering each other. This is our new favorite.

THIS SATURDAY there will be bottles available at the Ironroot Anniversary Party and Nico Martini will be up there with his Texas Whiskey Book for a signing and a chat about the newest blend. The bottle will officially be on sale on the Ironroot website starting Tuesday if you can't make it. Hopefully we'll see you soon!

Grayson Batch 2A is officially in stores. This one is pretty special y’all… it’s like breakfast in a bottle. The original Grayson blend combined pot still bourbons from both Ironroot Republic and Balcones, as well as wheat whiskey from Lone Elm. The newest release adds in column still bourbon from the fine folks at Treaty Oak Distilling. The final product is a beautifully layered homage to all the reasons we love both pot still and column still whiskey. They’ve layered and accented each other in a way we couldn’t have dreamed of.

The team behind Grayson wanted to create a whiskey that pushed boundaries and honored the great state of Texas. This is our way of showing the world what an amalgamation of the best whiskies in Texas can be. It’s a labor of love, for sure, but it’s also worth every bit of effort.

Nose: A buttery pancake syrup bomb intertwined with hints of caramelized sugar, chocolate covered malt balls, black tea, and nutmeg.

Palate: It begins with barrel-aged maple syrup and a hint of pineapple upside down cake, followed by cedar and dark brown sugar. It’s a gentle ride with a long finish.
