You know that you should replace your toothbrush every quarter, but did you know that you should clean your toothbrush every week to prevent bacteria buildup? There are two easy ways to do this: soak your toothbrush in antibacterial mouthwash or place it in boiling water for a few minutes.

The National Institutes of Health estimate that roughly 36% of patients struggle with mild to moderate dental-related anxiety and 12% suffer with extreme fear. While this may not seem harmful, it can be if it causes the patient to avoid getting the essential dental care they need. Fortunately, many dental practices today are equipped with patient comforts, like neck pillows, warm blankets, TVs, and sedation dentistry.

Unsure what to pack in your child’s lunchbox? Don’t worry – there are plenty of smile-friendly options that are easy to put together, like hard-boiled eggs, vegetable soup, hummus and veggies, fresh fruit, low-sugar yogurt, and overnight oats.
